વ્હાલા ભાઈ બટુક, વિ.
તારો જૂન નો પત્ર
મળ્યો. આ પત્ર એ
તો ખેદનો પત્ર. તારી સાથે નપાસ
થયા પછી મળ્યો. અને
તે પણ લાગણી સાથે
વિગત ભરી હતો. જે
અમે પણ લાગણીવશ થઈ
ગયેલા. બીજું તું નાપાસ તો
થયો છે પરંતુ આ
ભીંત જેવો. અને તે પણ
તારા વિદ્યાર્થી જીવનમાં આ પહેલો પ્રસંગ
અને તેનો પણ લાલ
અક્ષરથી આ પત્રો લખતા
થયો. નહિ તો આગળ
તો વધતો જ હતો.
સફળ થવાય છે. બાકી
તું નાપાસ થયો તેથી હતાશ
નાસીપાસ થવાનો છે તે બાબતની
અમને જરા ચિંતા થઈ
નહિ. અને તારે પણ
તે બાબતમાં ચિંતા ને મન ઉપર
એ ચિંતા રાખવા જેવું નથી. અને આ
બાબતમાં તે આત્મવિશ્વાસ નરસિંહ
જેવો નથી રાખ્યો તે
સારું આપણા મનને સંતોષ
રહ્યો છે. આવા સુવિચાર
અને આશાનો સહારો જીવનમાં રહ્યો નથી. તે ખૂબ
ખૂબ વિચાર ને અંતે જે
નિર્ણય લીધો હશે તેનાથી
સૌને ખૂબ સંતોષ થશે.
જો કદાચ અમારા આંતર
સાક્ષી આપવા ગયા હોત
તો તો અમારા દુઃખોનો
પાર જ ન રહેત.
પ્રભુ ખૂબ દયાળુ છે.
તને તબિયત પણ આવી ખૂબ
આનંદ અને શાંતિ દે.
હીરા સન્મતિ આપે. આપણે કોઈ
બાબતનું દુઃખ નથી. ગઈ
દિવાળીનો આપણો આપણી જગ્યામાં
ત્યારે સારો પણ ખૂબ
શાંતિ આપ્યો હતો.
રાજકોટનું
કામકાજ ઘણું સારું છે.
આ વર્ષમાં લગભગ/રૂપિયા ૩૦
ટ્રેક્ટરોનું તો વેચાણ થઈ
ચૂક્યું છે. બીજા ઓર્ડરો
પેન્ડિંગ છે. વિશેષ પારિ.
મોટાભાઈના પત્રો વાચું છું. અમારી તારા
વિષેની ચિંતા નીચોડ લાવવા માટે યોગ્ય ની
થવા પામે. એટલા કારણથી ચિંતા
વધવા દેવા પામે ને
તું સમજી રહે તો
પછી અમારે બીજે કઈ પણ
ફેરફાર નારા વિષે ચિંતા
કરવાનું રહે નહિ. કારણમાં:
(૧) ટ્રેક્ટરનો તારી તંદુરસ્તીનો નિયમિત
ખબર મળવા રહે અને
તે બાબતમાં તું હંમેશા રાજી
રહીને આનંદમાં રાખતો રહે.
(૨)
બીજી કારણમાં... તારા જાનપાનની બાબતમાં
લજ્જાસ્પદ બાબતમાં બરાબર સમજી રહીને તેના
વિષે ન ભૂલ.
(૩)
મન... છેલ્લે તું આવી નાની
વયમાં અમારાથી દૂર જઈને આવી
ફાઈલ દૂર છો. આ
દેશમાં નાની વયમાં મુસોના
નૈતિકબળ ના ખૂન થવા
પામે તો અનેકવિધ પ્રકારના
નાની કસોટીમાંથી પરમકૃપાળુ પરમાત્મા તને સાંગોપાંગ પાર
ઉતારી આપે એવી આશીર્વાદ
પ્રાર્થના છે. અને તમે
અમારા મુખ્ય ચિંતા રાખે છે અને
તમારું તું પાર ઉતરીને
જ્યારે તું અને આવીશ
ત્યારે અમારા મનને શાંતિ થશે.
તબિયત
બડિયા રાખે છે તે
સારું છે. અમારી તબિયત
સારી છે. તારી તેમજ...
બાકી જો તને બરાબર
સુઝતું હોય ત્યારે તો
પૈસા મોકલીશું મુંઝાવું નહીં. જ્યારે અપેક્ષા ત્યારે મંગાવી લેવા.
પ્રિય
ભાઈ બટુક, તારાં વડીલો સાથે પત્ર વાંચ્યો
છે. કાકા ને પૂ.
બાપુજીએ સીધો મળતા ઓર્ડર.
પરંતુ તેની અસર પધારેલ
છે. જીદમાં આવી કોઈનો આગ્રહ
છે. પણ તેને આપણે
નાસીપાસ થવું ન જોઈએ.
તને વિશેષ અહીંની પૂ. બા-બાપુજી
ચિંતા કરશો વિશેષ લખવું
હશે. પરંતુ એ અશક્ય વિચારવાનું
છે નહિ કાકા અહિયાં
બીજો ઓર્ડર આવશે તો ઘણું
સારું થયું એમ જો
ઓર્ડર વધતું રહેશે. ઉપરાંત ગયા વખતે પિતાજી
પણ આપણને સોંપેલ છે. ઈચ્છા તો
આપણ ને સોંપી છે.
આ ઓફિસની હું, ભાઈ સબુ,
નાનુ, ઘેલેભાઈ ઉપરાંત એક આસિસ્ટન્ટ, ટાઈપિસ્ટ,
ગોવર્ધન વિ. માણસો કામ
કરીએ છે છતાં પણ
માણસો કામ વધતાં વધારવા
પડશે. તેથી ઓર્ડર ધંધામાં
જે આટલા વર્ષોથી ઉદ્યોગમાંથી
પસાર થયાં તેનું પરિણામ
એ આત્મા જાય છે. ત્યાં
તારે પૈસાની જરૂર પડતો રસા
ભાગમાંથી ઉપાડી લેવું જે ભીડ હોય
પણ ગમે તે.
ઈન્દુભાઈની
તમારે જે હેલ્પ હતી
તે રસિકની નહિ ગમે - પરંતુ
નથી તેની ઉભી કરી
તબિયત. ફર્ગ્યુસન ફેક્ટરીવાળાને સંતોષ થયો નથી ઘણો
જ આનંદ. તું ત્યાંથી કંઈ
ફર્ગ્યુસન વિષેનું સાહિત્ય મેળવવાનો હોય તે મેળવ્યું
છે કે નહિ? વળી
યુનિવર્સિટીમાં વિષયો તેના તે જ
છે કે જુદા?
પુસ્તકોમાં
પણ જે કંઈ જૂદાં
રાખેલ લઈ જ ગયા
ને યાદ રાખવા વિનંતી.
ઉપરાંત આવા technical પુસ્તકો ભવિષ્યની સુંદરમાં ઉપયોગી રહેશે. ભાઈ નાનુ બેંગલોર
ફર્ગ્યુસન ફીલ્ડ જ્યાં સર્વિસ કોર્સ કરવા ગયો તે
આવતા અઠવાડિયે પૂરો થતાં ફરતા
જશે. ત્યાંથી વાયા મુંબઈમાં સ્ટુડન્ટ
છે. તો પંદર દિવસમાં
ફરતા થશે. તારી તબિયત
સંભાળજે. ફર્ગ્યુસનમાં લોકો કે શું
શું ભણવા મળ્યું. જ્યારે
અહિયાં પૂછો- implements વિષે લખીશ- જે
લોકો અહીં ન મળે
ત્યાં discuss કરી શકીએ અને
કંઈ design થઈ શકે.

Dear Beloved Brother Batuk,
Greetings. Received your June letter. This letter is indeed a letter of sorrow, written after learning that you failed, and it was filled with deep emotion. We too became emotional reading it.
Secondly, although you failed, you stood firm like a wall. This is the first such instance in your student life, written with red ink in these letters; otherwise, you were always moving forward and succeeding. That said, we were not at all worried that failing would leave you frustrated or disheartened. Nor do you need to worry or carry this burden on your mind. It is good that you did not hold an unyielding confidence like Narsinh in this matter; our minds remain satisfied. Such good thoughts and hope have been a support in life. Everyone will be deeply satisfied with the decision you reached after much thought. Had our inner witness gone to give evidence, there would have been no end to our sorrows. God is very merciful; may He grant you good health, great joy, and peace, and grant you wise counsel. We have no cause for grief. Our previous Diwali spent in our place brought great peace.
Business in Rajkot is going very well. Nearly 30 tractors have been sold this year already, and other orders are pending. Furthermore, I read Elder Brother's letters. Proper steps should be taken to relieve our worries about you. If you understand this so that anxiety is not allowed to grow, then we won't need to worry or make changes regarding you.
For these reasons:
(1) Regular updates regarding your health and tractor work should continue to reach us, and you should always remain happy and cheerful about it.
(2) Secondly... understand properly regarding your meals and conduct, and do not make mistakes in these embarrassing matters.
(3) Mind... lastly, at such a young age, you went far away from us and are living at such a distance. In this country, if the moral strength of young people is tested, our prayer and blessing to the Supreme Almighty is that He guides you safely through all kinds of small trials. You keep our main concerns in mind, and when you complete your journey and return, our minds will find peace.
It is good that your health remains sound. Our health is also good. As for your needs... whenever you feel the need, we will send money; do not be distressed. Request it whenever expected.
Dear Brother Batuk, read the letter together with elders. Uncle and Respected Bapuji received orders directly, but its effect has grown. Someone is insisting out of obstinacy, but we must not be discouraged by it. Respected Ba and Bapuji here worry about you; there was more to write, but it is impossible to think otherwise. Uncle says if another order comes here, it will be very good as long as orders keep increasing.
Moreover, last time Father also entrusted us. The desire is entrusted to us. In this office, Brother Sabu, Nanu, Ghelebhai, along with an assistant, typist, Govardhan, and others are working; still, as work increases, we will have to add more hands. Therefore, the result of passing through this industry for so many years in the order business is being felt. Whenever you need money there, withdraw it from the shared account, whatever the crunch may be.
Indubhai's help to you might not be to Rasik's liking—but health was not built up by it. The Ferguson factory people are not satisfied, which brings great joy. Have you obtained any literature regarding Ferguson from there or not? Also, are the subjects in the university the same or different?
Please remember to take any different technical books that were kept; such technical books will be useful in the future. Brother Nanu went to Bangalore for the Ferguson Field Service Course, which finishes next week, and he will return via Mumbai where students are located; he will return in a fortnight. Take care of your health. Write about what you got to learn about Ferguson and its implements when you inquire—so we can discuss what is not available here and design something.
