તારો દિવસ પહેલા વાળો પત્ર મળ્યો વાંચી ઘણો આનંદ થયો છે એવી જ રીતે નિયમીત પત્ર લખતા રહેજો. નવા મંગલ પ્રભાત નું શરુ થઈ નવા વર્ષ નો અભિનંદન કૃપાળુ પરમાત્મા પાસે આપણે યાચીએ કે "જ્યોતિ તારા દીપથી અંતરજીવન પંથ ઉજાર" તને શક્તિમય, સામર્થ્યમય, સમૃદ્ધિમય, શાંતિમય, લાભદાયી અને લાગણીભર્યા આરોગ્યમય નિવડો અમારી હૃદયની શુભ ભાવના સાથે... પ્રભુ પ્રત્યે પ્રાર્થના છે. અત્રે સર્વે કુશળ સમાચાર છે બધા... છે. અમારી તબીયત સારી છે તેની ચિંતા કરશો નહીં. રાજકોટ, જામનગર સો. બાલગોપાલ સાથે આનંદમાં... જુનાગઢ, મુંબઈ... સમાચાર પત્રો આવે છે. બધા પત્રો... તારા ખુશી ખબર... તારો અભ્યાસ સંતોષ તરફ જાય છે... રાજકોટના... સારા છે. દિવાળીના... અમારી સાથે છે ટ્રેક્ટરો આજે પહોંચશે... દિવાળીની... ડીલીવરી તા. ૨૧ ના દિવાળી... આપવા માટે મોટા ભાઈને તથા અનુકૂળતા... તા. બાપુને મુંબઈથી તાર... તે આ... આવી ગયા હશે અથવા આવતા... ના ફર્મ વેપાર મુંબઈ ગયા છે... રાજકોટ આવી ગયો... ઓર્ડર પણ દિવાળીના મુહૂર્તમાં... તમે ડીઝલ એન્જીનની પણ demand વધતી... હિન્દુસ્તાન... મોટાભાઈઓ... જરૂર હતું એટલે જનતા... અહી આવી જશે છતાં લખી જણાવીશ... પૈસા પરિણામ આપ્યા છે... દિનેશ મોહન ના મિત્રો... ૨૧/૧૧ પછી જરૂર... રવાના થશે... તા. ૩૦/૧૦... દુકાનની સોંપણી...

 

બીજા કે શાંતિ પણ રહેશે - ચિંતા સહુ રહ્યા છે ગઈ કાલે... પણ એક પલંગની ચાવી... પસાર કર્યો. એક યુદ્ધ... અત્યારના... કોઈ પણ વેપાર... યુદ્ધ થવા ચિંતા નથી. તારો ફરી વખત પત્ર લખજે. — લિ. બાબુલના શુભ

તારો પત્ર ચારેક દિવસ પહેલા મળ્યો વાંચી આનંદ થયો. આજના બેસતા વર્ષે તને પ્રભુ સુખ આપી આપે તથા કુશળ રાખે એવી પ્રાર્થના. એની સાથે મારા આશીર્વાદ અને અમારી બધાની તબિયત સારી છે અમારી ફિકર કરીશ નહી એ સદા આનંદમાં રહેજે.

૩ જી નવેમ્બર શનિ

બટુકભાઈ,

આજથી શરુ થતું નવું વર્ષ તમને યશસ્વી નિવડે એ જ શુભેચ્છા. તમારા તેમજ યજમાનને પણ નૂતન વર્ષના અભિનંદન. આ પહેલાનું ગ્રીટીંગ કાર્ડ મળી ગયું હશે. તમારો પત્ર મળ્યો વાંચી આનંદ. પરીક્ષામાં સારા માર્ક્સ મળ્યા જાણી સૌ ખુશી થયા છીએ. મોરબીથી પપ્પુ વિ. ઠરાવી રાજકોટ જતા વચ્ચે અહીં ૩-૪ દિવસ આવ્યા હતા. અપૂર્વ પણ દિનેશ સાથે આવ્યો હતો. એક અઠવાડિયું રોકાઈ સાથે ગયા છે. તમે દિવાળી તથા બેસતું વર્ષ કેવી રીતે ઉજવ્યા એ જરૂર લખજો. તમે લખેલ વિગતોથી ખરેખર આશ્ચર્ય થયું. અમેરિકનોનાં મગજમાંથી નવા નવા તુક્કા બહુ ઉઠતા હોય એમ લાગે છે. કલકત્તાથી બહેનોનાં ખુશીખબરનાં પત્રો આવે છે. તમારા ફોટા રવાના કર્યા કે નહિ? ચંપકભાઈ ત્યાંથી અત્યારે ઘેર આવ્યા છે તે તમને ખુબ યાદ કરે છે. ત્યાં તમારા Landlady તથા અન્ય સૌને અમારા વતી નૂતન વર્ષનાં હાર્દિક અભિનંદન પાઠવશો. — જ્યોતિ

I received your letter sent the day before yesterday and was very delighted to read it. Keep writing letters regularly like this. Greeting you with Happy New Year at the start of this auspicious new dawn, we pray to the merciful Almighty: "May the path of your inner life be illuminated by the light of Your lamp." Wishing with our heartfelt good feelings that this year proves to be full of strength, capability, prosperity, peace, profitability, and affectionate good health... this is our prayer to God.

Everyone here is safe and fine... is. Our health is good, so do not worry about it. Rajkot, Jamnagar, Sou. Balgopal with joy... Junagadh, Mumbai... letters are arriving. All letters... your good news... your studies are progressing satisfactorily... Rajkot's... are good. Diwali's... are with us. Tractors will arrive today... Diwali's... delivery on the 21st, Diwali... to give to Elder Brother and convenience... Postscript: Father received a telegram from Mumbai... it this... must have arrived or coming... firm's business went to Mumbai... has returned to Rajkot... order also during Diwali muhurat... demand for diesel engines is also rising... Hindustan... elder brothers... was necessary so the public... will come here, still I will write and inform you... money results given... Dinesh Mohan's friends... after 21/11 needed... will depart... Date 30/10... handover of the shop...

Best wishes that the New Year starting today proves to be successful for you. Happy New Year to you as well as your hosts. You must have received the greeting card sent earlier. Received your letter, glad to read it. Everyone was happy to know that you scored good marks in the exam. Pappu and others from Morbi, after deciding to go to Rajkot, stopped here for 3–4 days in between. Apurva also came with Dinesh. They stayed for a week and left together. Do write about how you celebrated Diwali and New Year's Day.

We were truly surprised by the details you wrote. It seems new fads and ideas constantly crop up in the minds of Americans. Letters with good news arrive from sisters in Calcutta. Did you send your photos or not? Champakbhai has currently come home from there and remembers you very much. Please convey our heartfelt New Year greetings to your landlady and everyone else there on our behalf.
