વિ. થાના સમાચાર તા. ૩૧/૭ નો પત્ર મળ્યો. વાંચી વિદિત થયોજી. આ પહેલાંનો તા. ૫-૭ નો મારો પત્ર તમને મળી ગયો હશે. ચિ. ભાઈ નાનુ બેંગલોર ગયાના ખબર સાથે તમારો પત્ર મળ્યો. રાજકોટથી ભાઈ બાબુએ આપ્યા. મોટીબાઈએ કોઈએ મને ખબર આપ્યા નથી. શું કામે ગયા છે? કેટલા દિવસ રહેવાના છે? અને પાછા ક્યારે આવવાના છો તે વિષે કાંઈ પણ ખબર જાણવામાં નથી. વળતા ચિ. ભા. રમણીકભાઈના સાઢુભાઈની બહેન કે જે B.A. થયેલી છે. તેને જોવા જવાનું નક્કી થઈ ત્યારે ચિ. રમણીકભાઈની સાથે તમે બંને ભાઈ જોવા જવાનું રાખશો for a impressive લાગે તો વધારે. એમના અભ્યાસ ઉપર આપ વગેરે પૂછવા અને જો એમને ટૂંકમાં forward વિચારો છે એટલે તો થોડી short + general topics ની વાતચીત કરવી. પરંતુ prima facie or impressive ન લાગે તો યાદ કરી લેવું. અને ચિ. રમણીકભાઈને કહેવું કે ભાઈ નાનુ પડ્યા નથી ને. બાપુજીને વાત થશે અને ત્યાંથી તમને બાપુજી ખબર લખશે. અને જો attractive & impressive લાગે તો તમને આ કન્યા કેમ લાગી છે તે જણાવજો. ખાસ કરીને ચાલચીત માં psychologically દિલ જણાય છે. તે લખી જણાવશો અને ત્યારબાદ ચિ. ભા. નાનુની સાથે વાતચીત કરીને આગળ વાત ચલાવશું.

બીજું તમારા L&T સાથેનો ઈન્ટરવ્યુનો અહેવાલ બધી માહિતીઓ સેવી મળ્યો. એમ ફાઈનલ રાખતી નથી. મંગળવારના તેઓ જે decision તમોને ફોનથી જણાવશે. તમોજી લખશો શ્રી ભટ્ટ સાહેબ સાથે...

 

તમારે શ્રી રતિભાઈ આચાર્યની ભલામણ કે શ્રી દુલર્ભભાઈ જાદવજી ની ભલામણ ની જરૂર પડશે, નહી તો જણાવશો. શ્રી દુલર્ભભાઈ ભાઈને મળ્યા હતા વિગેરે તે લખશો.

Calico ની appointment letter માં જણાવેલ figures જાણ્યા. તથા Bonus કે કાંઈ જણાવતા નથી તો તે સાથે તેના નિયમ પ્રમાણે આપશે એટલે કે છ બાર મહિના પછીથી મળી શકે. અત્યારે તો basic ની સાથે રિસર્ચમાં આગળથી સેવા માટે જણાવવામાં આવેલ. એ હિસાબે તો ત્યાં આગળ L&T માં નક્કી થઈ જાય આ સારું.

અને તરફથી કુશળ સમાચાર છે. અમારી તબીયત સારી છે. વરસાદ બે દિવસથી સારો થઈ ગયો છે. હું આવતી કાલે સવારથી જશ્યા રાજકોટ જાઉં છું. તમારું ત્યાં આગળ L&T માં જો નક્કી થાય તો appointment letter મેળવી ને તારથી ખબર આપશો ત્યાં આગળ તમારું સેટલ થઈ જાય પછી કોઈની ભલામણ માટે તમારે જે કરવું તે વિષે વિચાર કરીને તમને લખી જણાવીશ. અમદાવાદથી હરિ ગોવિંદ સાહેબનાં ખુશી ખબર ના પત્રો આવ્યા છે. તમારી તબીયતની સંભાળ રાખશો. ચિંતો મંજુ બહેન... સુધી no. ૬/૮ નું ગુરુદ્વારા ત્યાં આગળ સૌ ભાઈઓને રામરામ. તમારું ત્યાં નક્કી થયા પછી આ પત્ર પૂજ્ય મહાને ત્યાં આપી આપશો. એ જ અત્રે થી.

Dear Brother Bachu,

Greetings. Received your letter dated 31/7 containing news; read and noted everything. You must have received my previous letter dated 5-7.

Received your letter along with the news that Dear Brother Nanu has gone to Bangalore. Brother Babu gave the news from Rajkot. Motibai or anyone else did not inform me. For what purpose has he gone? How many days is he going to stay? And when is he returning?—no news is known regarding this.

Upon return, when it is decided to go see the sister of Dear Brother Ramanikbhai's co-brother-in-law who has completed B.A., keep it so that both you brothers go along with Dear Ramanikbhai to see her; if it feels impressive, even better. Regarding her education, ask questions, and if she holds short + forward thoughts, have a brief conversation on short + general topics. But if prima facie she does not seem impressive, keep that in mind. And tell Dear Ramanikbhai that Brother Nanu has not settled on it yet; Bapuji will be consulted and Bapuji will write to you from there. And if she seems attractive & impressive, let us know how you found this girl. Write and inform especially how she appears psychologically in her conversation and conduct, and thereafter we will talk with Dear Brother Nanu and proceed further.

Secondly, received all the details regarding the report of your interview with L&T. They are not keeping it final like that. Write what decision they inform you over the phone on Tuesday... with Shri Bhatt Saheb...

Write whether you will need a recommendation from Shri Ratibhai Acharya or Shri Durlabhbhai Jadavji. Write about meeting Shri Durlabhbhai, etc.

Learned the figures mentioned in Calico's appointment letter. Also, since they don't mention Bonus or anything, they will give it as per their rules, which means it can be received after six to twelve months. Currently, along with basic, it was mentioned for advance service in research. In that account, if things get finalized there at L&T, that would be good.

Good news from this side. Our health is good. Rain has been good for two days. I am going to Rajkot tomorrow morning. If your position gets finalized there at L&T, obtain the appointment letter and inform via telegram. After you get settled there, I will think and write to you regarding what you should do for anyone's reference/recommendation. Letters with good news have arrived from Hari Govind Saheb in Ahmedabad. Take care of your health... up to No. 6/8 Gurudwara over there, convey warm regards to all brothers. After your position is finalized there, hand over this letter to Respected Maha.
