પ્રિય રજનીભાઈ,

તમારો પત્ર મળી ગયો છો. પરંતુ દિવસ જ્યારે શરૂ થઈ જ્યારે પૂરો થાય છે તેનું ભાન જ નથી રહેતું.

પત્ર માંની હકીકત જાણી. હું મુંબઈ ને ને તમને ભૂલી ગયો નથી અને કદી ભૂલી શકીશ પણ નહિ. તમે તે સમાચાર આપ્યાં એ વિષે શું લહું તેની મુંજવણમાં હું છું.

 

Though there could be nothing but congratulation from me. My ideas about marriage, I think, are very contradictory to that of yours. After certain thinking, I have decided to remain unmarried. This may be surprising to you, but I have resolved to stick to my decision. The thoughts, that are responsible to lead me to this decision,

I shall reveal to you afterwards. Please, never remember me in the loot in the sea of irremembrance.
