Dear Brother Hemendra,
Your letter arrived many days ago. I am replying late solely to avoid putting you through any trouble, as you must be busy with (unprecedented preparation for) your exams. It is my heartfelt wish that you pass with flying colors—in a way that allows you to hold your head high with pride. Hope your health is mostly good. My health is fine. There is no issue whether your reply arrives early or late.
My request is that after the exams, you must come to Mumbai first, and only after that plan to go to the native place. My long-standing desire to meet you would thus be fulfilled.
Do make it a point to meet Patel and extend whatever help you can. His full name is Hiralal Bhogilal Patel. He is in the first year of the Engineering Diploma course. So if you have time, make the necessary inquiries and definitely meet him.
Everyone at the native place must be doing well. Which region are you planning to go to for the drought relief work? I read the news about it in the newspapers.
— With fond memories and affection from Himat Botadra
