"where there is a will there a way."
"The Society of Experiment
in International Living" નો

Dear Hemendra,
Had college this morning. Arrived home around 1:45 PM, had lunch, and immediately sat down to clean my room, which hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Having swept almost all the trash and just about to take it outside the door, Rama arrived with an envelope. The moment it reached my hand, it was recognized. Telling Rama to finish the remaining work, I sat down to read the letter.
While reading the letter, I felt as if we ourselves had set out on a journey and were seeing city after city—forests, rivers, mountains, and streams—one by one. There are a few hardships too, but the real joy lies right in that. Getting by without essential items is also a form of happiness in itself.
I have been enjoying fantasies of going on a world tour for many years, and now I await the day when it comes into reality. I used to wonder who would accompany me as my companion. I was sure that none of my friends here would be ready. So whom to take along? There wouldn't be any joy with relatives at all, but in the end, it feels as if God Himself brought both of us together. Even though we were close to each other for so many years, until now we could not discover each other's longing. How surprising it feels!
For the last one year or so, that longing has made me somewhat mad, and I often remain engrossed in those thoughts alone. We want to travel the world, but with very little money—so what should be done for that? A little money is required initially, so where to bring that from? Such thoughts make me restless. But "where there is a will there is a way."
You seem to have forgotten one thing for our tour: learning French and German languages also seems necessary to me. People in many countries do not even understand the meaning of English, and people of France, Germany, or China in particular have immense respect for their native languages; so if we too know their language, respect for us would grow as well. Their affection can be gained.
What is the objective of "The Society of Experiment in International Living"? In what matters do they help? And what activities does Mahendra Meghani do? Describe all this in detail.
Often such thoughts come to mind: if a first prize in some R.M.D.C. or contest or some competition like that hits, then that's it—task accomplished! Then we won't even need to consult an astrologer for an auspicious time to leave. But is God going to give us that money without hard work? Lately, word-puzzle competitions are announcing prizes worth lakhs.
Tomorrow (Saturday) I am going to leave from here by Mail for Saurashtra. Since college is ongoing, the schedule has been arranged in such a way that fewer days are wasted. Though I should reach Surendranagar on the 23rd, I am late, and as far as possible, I plan to leave from there on 1-12-54 to head back this way. If there is a mistake in this program, it can be changed; otherwise, please excuse me, I will definitely consider it some other time. I don't know what time it reaches Anand, and it is undesirable for you to face trouble at night.
Will definitely send the photo by post next time.
Wrote a letter to Jagdishkaka yesterday mentioning that there was a letter from Hemendra in which he wrote, "I will write a letter to Jagdishkaka in a day or two, so perhaps his letter has arrived or will arrive along with my letter." But Kaka is bound to be disappointed, as you have postponed writing a letter to Kaka for another three to four days. Kaka is doing well there. Currently, he has kept it to just receiving everyone's smiles and returning them. He writes that he hasn't made much further progress. In Germany, the proportion of females is quite high because many men died in the war. Now, according to Kaka's last letter, his landlady went to her village and brought back a beautiful girl who stays with them. Do not write anything to Kaka regarding this matter.
That's all for now. If you feel like writing a letter to Surendranagar, the address is as follows:
