રાજકોટ થી ખોડીદાસ પહેલા
મને મળ્યો. વાંચી ઘણો જ આનંદ
થયો છે અને તરફ
કુશળ સમાચાર છે. સૌ મજામાં
છે. રાજકોટ, ફિકાજી સૌનાં ખુશી ખબર આપજો.
મારી તથા તારા બાની
તબીયત અત્યારે આ શિયાળામાં સારી
રહે છે, ખાસ તકલીફ
નથી. ઠંડી પડવી શરૂ
થઈ ગઈ છે તેથી
જરા વધારે સંભાળી ને રહેવું પડે
છે.
બીજું.
ત્યાં આગળ ઠંડીનાં રક્ષણ
માટે તારે જરૂર જોઇતા
ગરમ કપડાં. (સૂટ) લઈ લીધા
હશે. નહીં જરૂર પણ
થઈ થઈ લીધા હશે.
વોચ ઘોલ કે રિસ્ટ
વોચ ન રિપ. બીજું.
તારી સામેના બીજા પોતાનાં પૈસા
મળવા ચોખ્ખ થઈ છે. કરગટ્યાં
તથા ગુંબઈ રાજન્દ્રી રચાં ને લીધે.
ખાતાઓ, અપખદારો, નાના પાટર નાનીઓની
ફેરબદલી થતી હોવાને લીધે
કામનો લૂલ નીકળ આવ્યો
નથી. તો પણ આપણે
કોશીષ તો ચાલુ રાખી
છે. ભલે પણ રાજકોટ્યે
અડવાડિયા, જેમાં કાંઈ ખબર નથી.
આ સમયમાં મળી ગઈ હોય
તો ખબર નથી. રમેશને
પૂછાવું છું અને, તારા
ભણતર મુજબ તને સારી
જગ્યા ડોકિર પૂર્વે પતલાવી આપવા લખ્યું છું
ત્યાં આગળ પાંચમાં રહેવું
કાંઈ વાતે મુંઝાવું નહીં.
ચરિયાની શી ચિંતા કિરવી
નહીં. તારા અભ્યાસમાં બરાબર
ધ્યાન રાખવી. અને તારું જાન્યુઆરીએ
શરૂ થતું સત્ર તો
પૂરું થવા આવ્યું તે
મુજ્બ તારા ચાલુ કોર્ષનું
છેલ્લું અને સાચું સત્ર
હશે. અને તે, સુપર
વીઝન શરૂ થયા સુધી
ચાલુ

ગયાં બે દિવસ થયાં
અમેરિકા ફિલાડેલ્ફીયા એ અને આવ્યા
છે, હું એમની પાસે
રૂબરૂમાં ખરખરા નિમિત્તે ગયો હતો. ત્યારે
તેણે તારા ખબર પૂછ્યા
હતા તો અમે પણ
સાતે~ અડવાડિયું રશિયાના છે. કિરણ કે
અખાં રાણી સૌ. પુષ્પાબેન
ને. ફિલાડેલ્ફીયામાં ભૂલીને ઓફીસ~ આવ્યા છે. શ્રી વીરાવાળા
સાહેબ ફિલાડેલ્ફીયા યુનિ. પાં. બીઝનેસ એકેડમીની
સ્ટેશન નાં નિર્દેશ કરે
છે. તેણે આ પહદુલ
સત્ર પૂરું થયું ન થયું
ત્યાં અપર્ન, અપનાં માણસનાં હાઈ ફ્રેન્ડ લી
ગુજરી ગયાનાં કિરણો સમજી ભૂલ આવી
નવું પડ્યું- તે સઘળે, સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં
થી બીઝનેસ એકેડમીની સ્ટેશન નાં કિરણ નાં
અભ્યાસ માટે પણ ઘણાં
વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ગયા છે. બીજું.
થોડા દિવસ પહેલાં અત્રેનાં
છાપામાં એવા ખબર હતા
કે લાયકાત કેમીસ્ટ- એન્જીનીયરોની જરૂર~ તંગી છે તેથી
બીજે પંચવર્ષીય યોજના ને તેના વિકાસ
માં ખામીયા. જોઈ એ તોય
જગ્યા ગતી મળતી નથી.
લખવાની મતલબ કે લાયકાત
વાળા ઉદ્યોગોમાં ચેન્નઈ પાંડેચરી માં કેમીસ્ટ એન્જીનીયરોની
જંગ. વર્તાય છે તે સરવે
હારૂ તમે ખાત્રી કુશળતા

સર્વ લેડી ને.. શુભેચ્છાઓ.-

અહીં આવ્યો વાંચી આનંદ. આ પહેલવા પત્ર
મળી ગયો હશે.
- India evening - સારી
રીતે ઉજવી જઈશું. કલકત્તાવાસીઓ આનંદમાં છે. ત્યાં પણ સખે પત્ર લખું છું. મંજુલાબેન રાજકોટ મુકામે બીરાજે છે.
અહીં
ઠંડી ઠીક પ્રમાણમાં છે.
ત્યાં તો વિશેષ હશે.
આ પત્ર મળતા તો
તમારું Vacation પુરું થઈ ગયું હશે.
આ વર્ષે accident થી મૃત્યુ પ્રમાણ
વધ્યું હશે એમ છાપામાં
વાંચવા પરથી લાગે છે.
તમારા રૂમ-પાર્ટનર આવી
ગયા હશે. તમારા બન્નેનો
સાથે પડાવેલ ફોટો હોય તો
મોકલજો નવીન સમાચાર જણાવતા

Dear Son Batuk,
Greetings. Your letter dated 17-11 was first received by me from Rajkot via Khodidas. Very delighted to read it, and there is well-being news from this end. Everyone is fine. Give good wishes to everyone in Rajkot and Fikaji. My health and your mother's health are good right now during this winter; there is no specific trouble. Cold weather has started setting in, so we have to take a bit more care.
Further, regarding protection from the cold there, you must have purchased the necessary warm clothes (suits). You must have bought them whether required or not. Watch, gold, or wrist watch... Further, regarding getting your remaining money, things have become clear. Due to the formation of Kargatya and Bombay State, because of the transfer of departments, officers, and lower-level staff, the smooth flow of work hasn't come out yet. Still, we have kept up our efforts. Even so, in Rajkot for a week, wherein no news is known. If received during this time, we do not know. I am asking Ramesh, and according to your education, I am writing to arrange a good place/job for you before... Do not get anxious about anything while staying there. Do not worry about expenses/needs. Focus properly on your studies. And your semester starting in January, which is coming to an end, will be the last and main semester of your current course according to that. And that will continue until supervision begins.
Further, two days ago, the mother of Vadia's Darbar Saheb Shri Veeravala passed away; they have returned from Philadelphia, America. When I went to meet him in person for condolence, he inquired about you; we also... for a week... Russia's... because Queen Pushpabahen... forgetting in Philadelphia... came to the office. Shri Veeravala Saheb refers to the station of Business Academy at Philadelphia University. Before this first semester even ended, due to the passing away of a close friend/person, he had to make a mistake and return—from all over Saurashtra, many students have also gone for studies at the Business Academy... Further, a few days ago, there was news in the local newspaper here that there is a shortage/need of qualified chemists and engineers, causing drawbacks in the second five-year plan and its development. Even when looking, suitable candidates/places are not found. The point of writing is that in industries requiring qualification, a shortage of chemists and engineers is felt in Chennai and Pondicherry. Regarding all this, assure your well-being.

India Evening will be celebrated nicely. The residents of Kolkata are in good spirits. Writing a letter there comfortably as well. Manjulabahen is residing at Rajkot.
Cold is in fair measure here. It must be more so over there. By the time this letter reaches you, your vacation will have ended. From reading the newspapers, it seems the mortality rate from accidents has increased this year. Your room partner must have arrived. If you have a photograph taken together with both of you, please send it. Keep sharing new updates.
