વિ. વિશેષ તા. ૨૫/૫ નો પત્ર ભાવનગર ઉપરનો તા. ૩૧/૫ નાં રાજકોટ મુકામે મળી ગયો છે. વાંચી બધાંજ ખુશી થયા છીએ. અત્રે સરુ સૌ કુશળ છે. જધાની તબીયત સારી છે. તારી કુશળતા ખાસ રાજકોટમાં તા. ૨૭/૨૬ મેનાં રોજ ટ્રેક્ટરનાં નવા મોડેલ અને તેનાં implements નું ગોઠવવાનું પ્રદર્શન અને demonstration સારું સફળ થયું ગણાય. કંપનીના શ્રી મોદી અને શ્રી જેવીસ આવેલા. ડેમોન્સ્ટ્રેશન દરમ્યાન ચાર નવા ટ્રેક્ટર ના ઓર્ડર મળ્યા હતા.

આપણા ટ્રેક્ટરની સોસાયટી પરમીશન થોડી troublesome અને વિધિ યુદ્ધ સબબે - ૧૭ વાળા કે વીશાગોપ કે બુકીંગ નહી મળવાનાં કારણે છેક વડોદરા કે બુકીંગ મળ્યું હોવાને તે - હજુ સુધી ત્યાં પ્રથમના ત્રણના લોટ કે વડોદરાથી ખુલ્લી રાજકોટનું રીબુકીંગ મળી ગયું અને તે સમયસર આવી જતાં ડેમોન્સ્ટ્રેશનમાં ઉપયોગ આવી ગયો. ત્યાર બાદ મદ્રાસને આપવા માટે વડોદરા બુક થયેલા છે તે ટ્રેક્ટરો ના બે લોટ અમે સાથે વડોદરા આપી પહોંચ્યા તેનું રીબુકીંગ ન થવાનાં તે ૨૨ ટ્રેક્ટરને વડોદરાથી ડ્રાઈવ કરીને લાવવા પારે. તા. અનુભાઈ, તા. નાનુ, તા. હરિભાઈ અને તા. દેપาล એટલા ઘરના માણસો ઉપરાંત બીજા ૧૭ ડ્રાઈવર લઈને વડોદરાથી ૨૫૦ માઈલ ની રોડ રસ્તા ની મુસાફરી કરીને રસ્તો કાપી ગયો અને બાકીનાં ૫ પણ આવી પહોંચ્યા હોવા જોઈએ એટલે કે આ તમામ આવી પહોંચ્યા.

ભાવનગર કે નવી રીપાયરી માટે મોટાભાઈ ત્યાં શ્રી મોદી ડેમોન્સ્ટ્રેશન બાદ તા. ૨૯ ના અપરદે માતરના ગયા. અપરદે ડીઝર્સ પાસેનો માલ implements નો quick move ના હતા અને સ્પેર પાર્ટ મળી ગયા અંદરો અંદર નો પણ તો સહી કરીને બન્ને ભાવનગર ગાડીમાં મોકલી વાલ્મીકિ મોંઘે તૈયાર થઈ શકે તેમ ન હોવાથી હાલ તૂર્ત અનુભાઈ પોતાની જોડે શ્રી ગંગાદાસ મગની ઓફીસમાં રાખશે ત્યાર બાદ ધંધે ધામે કોઈ suitable જગ્યા મેળવી લેશે. અપ નવી શું છે. આ બધું ટ્રેક્ટર ની ડીલીવરી પતાવવું. ૬,૭, તા. અનુભાઈ પ્રથમ, ખસીયા લાવવાનો - અને ઘર મળ્યા બાદ ભાઈ બચ્ચાં મોકલી જશે. ઓફીસ ની શોધે - વર્કશોપ માટે નવી suitable જગ્યા માટે મોતીબાગ અને સ્વામી મંદિર ની વચ્ચે આવેલો ભાવનગર નરેશ નો એક જુનો બંગલો છે તેમાં કંપાઉન્ડ નો આગળનો ભાગ કે જે મેઈન રોડ ઉપર પડે છે તે ભાગ ઉપર ચોકી કીચાળા ચાર ઓરડા શોપ અને પાછળ વર્કશોપ થોડી જાંખી ઓછી પાડે. ભાવનગર લાઈસન્સ નાં સેક્રેટરી સાથે વાતચીત થઈ છે H.H. ને મિલ સેક્રેટરીએ આપવાને ખબર આપવાનું જણાવ્યું છે. હવે જુએ શું થાય છે. જો થઈ જશે તો Best બિઝનેસ ની સીટ મળ્યા બરાબર ગણાશે.

 

બીજું uni. certificate મળશે એટલે (dollar-permit) મેળવવા પાસે નહીં વહીએ. તારા અભ્યાસ અને પરિચય ના progress સંબંધિત થોડું જાણીને સૌને ઘણો જ આનંદ થાય છે. બીજું ચિ. અમૃતલાલ અને સૌ. પુષ્પા બન્ને નિરાંત વ્યાપારી અંગે તા- ૧૭/૬ નાં આ દેશ સાથેથી સૌ. ભાનુબેન તથા ડો. રમણીકભાઈ નો તથા જીતેન્દ્ર સૌ. ચંદા બન્ને નો ખુશી ખબર નો પત્ર સાથે મળ્યો ત્યાં તેથી સૌ તબિયત સંભાળે છે. થોડા દિવસ પછી યાંત્રિકીનું સર્ટિફિકેટ પણ ખુશી ખબર આપતો ત્યાં પણ તેઓ સૌ તને યાદ કરે છે.

બીજું એક દુખદ ઘટના ના સમાચાર સર્વ આફ્રિકા પૂ. ફુવા તરફથી મળી ગયા હશે. ન મળ્યા હોયતો જણાવવાનું કે બહેન કંચન બહેન નાના આઠ બચ્ચાંને મૂકીને તા-૧૭-૫-૫૭ નાં રોજ સુવાવડમાં દેવગતિ પામેલ છે આ અણધારતા બનાવથી પૂ. ફુવા અને પૂ. ફોઈને આ ઉંમરે એક આઘાત જનક દ્રષ્ટિ પડશે ગાંગાડે પરંતું પરમાત્મા નાં ઘર આગળ કોઈ ઉપાય ચાલતો નથી તને લખવા ન મળ્યા હોયતો આ ઉપરથી જાણી પૂ. ફુવા તથા પૂ. ફોઈને ખૂબ ધીરજ રાખવા બદલ નો આશ્વાસન આપતો પત્ર લખી નાખજે.

બીજું સમગ્ર ઈન્ડિયાભરમાં Influenza નું epidemic ખૂબ ફેલાણું છે. મોટા મોટા શહેરોમાં હજારો સંખ્યામાં લોકો આ દર્દ ના ભોગ થઈ પડ્યા છે. ઇશ્વરની કૃપા દયા છે. મૃત્યુનું પ્રમાણ નહીવત જેવું છે સાચું છે આ રિયાથી આપણી કોઈની ચિંતા કરીશ નહીં. તારી તબીયત ખૂબ સંભાળજે અને ખૂબ આનંદમાં રહે. એજ પરમાત્મા પાસે. અમારી અન્યથા કાંઈ છે. તા. દિનકર નું વેકેશન તા. ૧૪/૬ ની પૂરું થાય છે ગઈ પરિણામમાં average 66 % એ પાસ થયેલ છે પરિણામ ઠીક સારું ગણાશે. આ આખું ત્રીજું વર્ષ છે. રિઝલ્ટ રાખશે મોપાર ઉમી રે રાજકોટ માં આર્મી લાઈસો પાસે. સૌ મંજુ બહેન... એડમીશન થઈ જાશે તો સૌ સાથે માંધે ચિ. જન ... દસ દિવસ થઈ ગયા અને મારી સાથે આવે છે ત્યારે ... કુશળતા.

Ill. uni તરફથી તારા 3 credit hours ત્યાં આગળ transfer થઈ આવ્યા હોયતો ખબર લખજે તે પછી આ નવા સત્રમાં તારે enroll થવાનું નહીં રહે માત્ર thesis પૂરું જ સમય આપવાનું રહેશે. બીજું કોઈપણ electrical instruments ઉપર ફોન કરવાના પ્રેરણ સાંપડે એટલે કે IBM 604 વગેરેના Electronic working ની computer પર સોલ પ્રોબ્લેમ Solve કરવાની રીત સાંપડે તો તેના ઉપર પોતાની પૂરી સાચવણી એ સંભાળ રાખીને લખવું એવુ G. બાપુજીના શુભાશિષ.

પ્રિ. બટુક કાકા (પ્રિય ભાઈ બટુક), તારો કાગળ મળ્યો, વાંચી ઘણો જ આનંદ થયો છે, સૌ મજામાં છીએ., તને અવાર નવાર ખૂબ યાદ કરીએ છીએ, એમ સોમવારે આણંદ જઈ ત્યાંથી કલકત્તા ઉપડી આપી છું તમે મજામાં હશો, ચંદાબેનનો j કાગળ હતો, એમની પાસે તારું સરનામું... તમે ક્યારે આવવાના છો ? તમે આણંદ ક્યારે આવશો, એટલે કાગળ વધુ લખ્યો, હવે અમે ત્યાં પહોંચ્યા બાદ મારા માટે કોઈ ઢીંગલી અને મોટર લાવજો. કાગળ લખશું તને કેરી ખાવા માટે મળતી હોય તો અમે તો હમણાં કેરી ખાઈએ છીએ. લી. કુમુ

 

છે, હવે તું આવીશ ત્યારે અમે દેશમાં આપશું. મંજુ અહીંયાથી સુરેન્દ્ર ગઈ, હસમુખભાઈ પુના ગયા હતા, રાજકોટના ખબર... બાપુજીની તબિયત વાતાડુ થઈ છે, ટેપ રેકોર્ડ તે જ મળ્યું નહિ હોય. અમે તો ... બોલત, તું એવું કાંઈક મોકલતો. સૌ તારો રસ્તો જોઈ... ત્યારે ક્યારે આપવાનું પડશે ? કલકત્તા આપીશું તે શૈલેષ થોડુંક તરતા રાખ્યો છે, બાકી રાત્રે તાવના હોવાથી બાગમાંથી નવું લોહી કાઢે છે, પણ રાત્રે તાવ નથી ... વરસાદ નથી થયો ત્યાં લગી ચિંતાની વાત ... દિવસનો તડકો જાય છે ! ઘણી ખરી ગરમી થી બચી ગયા. ૧૨/૧૬ ... ભુલી ગયા હોઈશ, ... ડલઉના ... પણ અત્યારે ... સ્મરણો

Dear Brother Batuk,

Greetings. Received your letter dated 25/5 addressed to Bhavnagar at Rajkot on 31/5. Everyone was delighted to read it. All are well here. Everyone's health is good. Knowing about your well-being brings special joy.

The exhibition and demonstration organized in Rajkot on 27/26th May for the new tractor model and its implements was very successful. Company officials Shri Modi and Shri Javis attended. Orders for four new tractors were received during the demonstration.

Regarding society permission for our tractor, due to some trouble and procedural issues—not getting booking at No. 17 or Vishagop—booking was obtained as far as Vadodara. The first lot of three was re-booked from Vadodara to Rajkot and arrived in time to be used in the demonstration. Subsequently, two lots of tractors booked at Vadodara intended for Madras reached Vadodara along with us; as re-booking wasn't possible for them, those 22 tractors had to be driven from Vadodara by road. Along with family members Dear Anubhai, Dear Nanu, Dear Haribhai, and Dear Depal, plus 17 other drivers, they completed the 250-mile road journey from Vadodara, and the remaining 5 must have also arrived—meaning all of them have reached.

For new repairs in Bhavnagar, Motabhai and Shri Modi left for Upper Mater after the demonstration on the 29th. The implements near Upper Diggers were moved quickly and spare parts were obtained internally; after signing, both were sent by train to Bhavnagar. Since Valmiki Monghe couldn't prepare it immediately, for the time being, Anubhai will keep it in Shri Gangadas Magan's office, and later find a suitable place for business operations. What is new regarding this? Completing all tractor deliveries... First, bringing Khasiya... and after getting a house, sending the wife and children. Searching for an office—for a new suitable workshop space, there is an old bungalow of the Bhavnagar Naresh located between Motibagh and the Swami Temple. The front portion of the compound facing the main road has a guardroom, kitchen, four rooms, and a shop, while the workshop at the back is slightly less shaded. Discussions took place with the Secretary of Bhavnagar License; H.H.'s Mill Secretary mentioned they would inform. Now let's see what happens. If finalized, it will be as good as securing the best business location.

Secondly, once the university certificate is received, we won't need to pursue the dollar permit. Everyone is delighted to learn about the progress in your studies and acquaintances.

Also, Dear Amrutlal and Respected Pushpa both took rest regarding business. A letter containing good news arrived on 17/6 along with Respected Bhanuben, Dr. Ramanikbhai, Jitendra, and Respected Chanda; everyone there is taking care of their health. After a few days, when the engineering certificate arrives, good news will be shared; everyone there also remembers you.

Regarding a painful event, news must have been received from Respected Uncle in Africa. If not received, please be informed that sister Kanchan-bahen passed away during childbirth on 17-5-57, leaving behind eight young children. Due to this unexpected occurrence, Respected Uncle and Respected Aunt, at this age, face a shocking ordeal; however, before God's will, no remedy works. If you haven't written to them yet, please write a letter offering consolation and encouraging them to stay strong.

Secondly, an Influenza epidemic has spread widely across India. Thousands of people in major cities have fallen victim to this illness. By God's grace and mercy, the mortality rate is negligible; do not worry about any of us regarding this. Take good care of your health and stay cheerful. That is our prayer to God.

Dear Dinkar's vacation ends on 14/6; in the recent results, he passed with an average of 66%, which is considered quite good. This is the third full year. Results will be posted near Army Lines in Rajkot. If admission is secured for Sister Manju..., all will go together... Ten days have passed, and coming with me... well-being.

If 3 credit hours from Ill. University have been transferred there, write and inform; after that, you won't need to enroll in the new semester and can dedicate full time solely to completing the thesis.

Secondly, if you get inspiration to work on any electrical instruments—such as the electronic working of the IBM 604 computer to solve problems—write about it taking full care and precautions.

Dear Batuk Kaka (Dear Brother Batuk), received your letter, was very happy to read it. We are all fine. We remember you very often. On Monday, going to Anand and leaving for Calcutta from there. Hope you are doing well. Received a letter from Chandabahen, she had your address... When are you coming? When will you come to Anand? So I wrote a longer letter. Once we reach there, bring a doll and a toy car for me. Write letters. If you get mangoes to eat there, we are eating mangoes here right now.

Bapuji's health has become fragile, the tape recorder must not have been received. We would have... spoken, send something like that. Everyone is waiting for your return... when will you be coming? Going to Calcutta, Shailesh was kept swimming a bit, rest... as there is fever at night, drawing fresh blood from the garden, but no fever at night... as long as it hasn't rained there, matter of concern... sun during the day is intense! Escaped most of the heat. 12/16... might have forgotten... Delhousie... but right now... memories.
