Calico વાળા પત્રની
બંધણી precedent ન પડવા દેવા
ખાતર માંગે છે. તો બે
માસમાં અને રાજીના ડૉક્ટર
સાહેબના અમદાવાદ એડીશન કરીશ અને સપોર્ટ
લેશ કે થી ગિરા
બન્નેને પોતે મળે. અને
સમજાયે કે ૩ વર્ષનું
Compulsory અને ૨ વર્ષનું Optional મળીને
૫ વર્ષની બંધણી માટે સમજાવે છે.
પરંતુ તેને તેમાં precedent નું
દ્રષ્ટાંત ન આપે. મોટાભાઈનું
એમ કહેવું છે. ઉતાવળ કરીને
acceptance મોકલવાની જરૂર નથી. બહુ
છેતરાઈ જઈશને. acceptance મોકલવાની ઉતાવળ ન કરિશ - ત્યાંનું
Midco ને ખબર સારી દીધી.
મુખ્ય છુટા થઈ જવું.
અને તુરંત Calico માં જોઈન થઈ
જવાની ઉતાવળ કરિશ નહી. અસ્વસ્થ
મળવાનો. ઘરે બેસવું પડતો
વાંધો નહીં.. પરંતુ ઉતાવળ કરતા નહીં. તમારા
લખ્યા મુજબ Calico basic ૬૦૦ + ૧૫૦ માસિક બોનસ
+ ૯૫ DA મળિને માસિક ૮૪૫, પરંતુ રૂ.૫૦ P.F. ના બાદ જતા

ગણતરી થશે. પરંતુ માસિક
બોનસના રૂ. ૧૫૦ તો
પગારમાં ગણાયા પુજાયા પરંતુ તે ૨૪૫ તો

બાબતમાં મોટા ભાઈએ તમને

ખ્યાલ આ પ્રમાણે છે.

જેવો નથી. મુંબઈમાં બીજી
જગ્યાની ટકોર નથી. હું

અને વિ. દુર્લભજીભાઈ જનતાલીને
પણ લખશો. અને છેવટે જો
ત્યાં વધારે સેટ ન થાય
તો પછી Confirm કરશું: તમારા શું ખ્યાલ છે.
તે જણાવશો - ભીખરચંદ પ્રાગજી (લાલજીનાં રાજકોટ સારુ પહોંચવાનો) પાસ
થઈ ગયો છે-

મને
પોતાને અફસોસ છે. મુંબઈમાં અત્યારના
વેપાર-ઉદ્યોગ અને રાજકારણની સ્થિતી
સંજોગો જોતા કોઈ પણ
ફોર્મન મોટા પગારના અને
સીધા અનુભવ વગરના માણસોને રાખવા તૈયાર નહી થાય. આ
બાબત ઉતાવળ ન કરતા થોડો
વખત રાહ જોવામાં વાંધો
નહી. હજી સુધી તમે
ક્યાં નોકરીમાં છો? અને ત્યાં
રહેવાના છો વગેરે બાબતની
વિગત પણ લખી રિયાની
જરૂર નથી. સઈ પુછે
તો હાલ પ્રસંગ વેળાએ
અઠવાડીયા-પંદરવાડીયા માટે આવ્યો છું
- ત્યાં આગળ ઘરમાં ચિ.

રહેવા ન આવે તો
પણ ફીકર ચિંતા કરવાની
કારણ નથી. (ભાડુ આપણે રાખવું-
તમારી નોકરીનું નક્કી થયા પછી ઘરનું
નક્કી કરવાને રાખશે એટલે એમ વાર્તા
દુર થાય અને ત્રણ
દિવસ સારા વરસાદ પડી
ગયો આભે આભે છે.
એટલે એમ આપણી તબીયત
સારી છે.

Greetings. Received your letter routed via Rajkot and learned your thoughts. However, the letter sent here to the home address, which is also dated, must have reached you. See letter before sending acceptance.
Regarding the letter from Calico, they are asking for a bond so as not to create a precedent. So within two months, and with Dr. Saheb's addition in Ahmedabad, get support so that he meets both Gira and explains. He should explain regarding a 5-year bond comprising 3 years compulsory and 2 years optional. But do not give an example of a precedent in it. Motabhai says there is no need to hurry in sending the acceptance; you will be duped a lot. Do not hurry in sending the acceptance—informed Midco over there properly. The main thing is to get released/freed first, and do not hurry to join Calico immediately. Even if you have to sit at home restless, no problem... but do not rush.
According to your letter, Calico basic 600 + 150 monthly bonus + 95 DA totaling 845 monthly, but after deducting Rs. 50 for P.F...
...the monthly salary calculation will come to Rs. 795. However, Rs. 150 of the monthly bonus is considered in the salary, but out of that, Rs. 245 is to be given at the end of the year. Currently, per month... Rs. 635 will be handed over to you. Comparing this to MIDCO's Rs. 255 net (clean) that was received—is this Rs. 255 equivalent, higher, or lower on that account? Write and inform in detail about this. Regarding this matter, Motabhai must have written a letter to you from Rajkot, and in the letter you received, his view is as follows:
"In my view, there is no need to rush too much. There is no other opening mentioned in Mumbai. I am writing a letter to Vi. Ratibhai. He will also write to you. And do write to Vi. Durlabhjibhai Janta-wali as well. And ultimately, if things don't settle better there, we will confirm later. Express what your thoughts are—Bhikharchand Pragji (Lalji's for reaching Rajkot) has passed—

This is Motabhai's opinion. In short, still do not hurry in sending the acceptance for another 5 to 15 days.
And without worrying about the house in Mumbai, the rent, or moving the luggage, depart for there immediately. Money arrangements... later after things are finalized, if you have to take a trip back to fetch the luggage, no problem. Motabhai must have written to Vi. Ratibhai Bardoli-wala...
...(however, I am not writing), so out of courtesy, do go meet Vi. Ratibhai and ask him. Gulabhai wrote a recommendation to me for you; if your neighbors or you can make any arrangement anywhere regarding that, inform me in Rajkot. In my current ongoing service, I want to leave the service...
I personally regret it. Looking at the current trade, industry, and political situation in Mumbai, no firm will be ready to employ people without direct experience at high salaries. Do not rush in this matter; there is no harm in waiting for a while. You don't need to write details about where you are currently employed, whether you plan to stay there, etc. If anyone asks, say for now you have come for a week or two for an occasion. Even if Dear La. Rasik or Kaka doesn't come to live in the house there, no need to worry or be anxious. (We will keep paying rent—deciding on the house can wait until your job is finalized, so that issue is set aside).
There has been good rainfall for three days, overcast everywhere. So health-wise on our side, everything is good.
