હું
અત્યારે વડોદરા, જાઉં છું. જનતા
૨૭મી શનિવાર અથવા મંગળવારે પાછો
આવીશ. પરંતુ કદાચ જો કોઈ
કારણસર ન આવ્યા હોઈએ,
અને અહીંયા, ઓફીસમાં કોઈ અરજન્ટ કામ
આવી પડ્યું હોય અથવા કોઈબી
કામને માટે મળવા માંગતુ
હોય તો ઓફીસમાં શિવ
ને આવીને પુછી જવું અને
મને તાર કરી દેવો.
દરરોજ (શનિવાર) સાંજનાં એ આંટો ઓફીસ
આવીને શિવને પુછી જવું. કોઈ
ગેરહાજરીમાં આવ્યું હોય અને માટે
લખી રાખવું હોય તેમાંથી જોઈ
અથવા શિવને પુછી જવું. અને
પછી પણ
ખબર
આવેલાં પાસ આપતા નજરમાં.
આવે તો મુંબઈનું ટ્રેક્ટર
ચડી ગયાના કાગળ આવશે તે
ફાઈલ વાંચી જોવો. અને તેમાંથી લખેલ
વિગત પણ જણાવશો. બીજું
તો કોઈ પાસ આપવો
બીજું રેલ્વેમાં દુરથી પાસ. મળતા એક
કાપડ ફાટેલું આપણો રેડીયો મૂકેલો
છે તેનાં રીપેર માટે શ્રી મોતીચંદને
મળીને તે એમો મંજુર
સાથે અથવા ઘોડા ગાડીમાં
લઈ આવ્યો અને તેનાં રીપેર
કરવામાં શું બગાડ્યું છે?
અને કેટલું બિલ આવશે તે
પુછી પટેલજી જણાવશો અને હું ત્યાં

Brother Devendra,
I am leaving for Vadodara right now. Normally I will return on Saturday the 27th or Tuesday. However, if for some reason I do not return, and any urgent work comes up here in the office or if anyone wants to meet for any work, drop by the office to ask Shiv and send me a telegram. Every day (Saturday) in the evening, make a trip to the office and inquire with Shiv. If someone has visited in my absence and left a note/entry, check that or ask Shiv. And even after that,
keep an eye out if any received news passes through. Letters regarding the Mumbai tractor being loaded/dispatched will arrive, so read through that file. And inform me about the details written in it as well. Nothing else to pass on. Further, regarding the pass received from a distance in the railway, our radio is kept wrapped in a piece of torn cloth; regarding its repairs, meet Shri Motichand and bring it with his permission or in a horse carriage, and inquire what damage has occurred in its repair and how much the bill will come to, then inform Patelji, and when I write to you from there, tell him to repair it.
