બીજું
અને મકાનનું રંગરોગાન નું તથા ડિસેમ્બર
નું કામ ઓફિસ પહેલા
પૂરું થઈ ગયું છે.
હવે ઈલેક્ટ્રિક વાયર ફીટીંગ નું
કામ કરવાનું બાકી છે તે
માટે અમેરિકન અને વાયરમેન ને
બોલાવેલ હતો તેણે જોઈતો
બધો સામાન નું એસ્ટીમેટ કરી
આપેલ છે. અને તેના
ફીટીંગ ચાર્જ અને પોઈન્ટના સાડા
ચારસો નક્કી કર્યો છે. કુલ ૨૧
પોઈન્ટ નું કામ છે.
જોઈતો માલ સામાન લેવા
માટે બજાર સુધી રવિવાર
ના રાજકોટ જઈશ. અને ત્યાંથી
પાછા આવ્યા પછી ફીટીંગ તાત્કાલિક
ને કામ ચાલુ કરાવી
આપીશ.
મતલબ
કે આ મહિનાની આખર
પહેલા મકાન કે માત્ર
પાણીવાળી બાજુની ઓરડી સિવાય નું
બધું કામ પૂરું થઈ
જશે. ત્યાર પછી વાડીયા તૈયાર
થઈ રહેલા ઘઉં, લસણ્યા, મરચાનું
કામ પૂરું કરાવ્યા બાદ તમારા માતુશ્રી
ના દાંતના ચોકઠા માટે તથા મારી
આંખ બતાવવા અને જોઈન ઉપર
ન્યુરેલ્જીયા (દુખાવો-સંધીવા) ની થોડી અસર
જણાય છે તે માટે
કન્સલ્ટ કરવા અને સાથે
સાથે તબિયત કરવા માટે એકાદ
મહિનો બહારગામ જઈ આવવાની ઈચ્છા
થાય છે. જે માણસનું
ધાર્યું કંઈ કામ આવતું
નથી. તે વખત ના
સંજોગો કેવા હોય છે
તથા...
તેવું
નક્કી થવાનું નિર્માણ નહીં હોય. ખરેખર
જો ધાર્યું હશે તેમ થશે.
અને ત્યાં પણ પ્રભુના કંઈ
શુભ સંકેત હશે. એમ માનીએ.
બીજું
મારા આ પહેલાના પત્રમાં
જણાવ્યા મુજબ બરોડા વાળા
શ્રી મણિલાલ ભાઈ શાહ ને
જે Counter Proposal મિ. નાઝુ પાસે
મુકેલ. અને તે ત્યારે
મિ. નાઝુ ને મળવા
પણ રાજકોટમાં રહેતા. એમના ભાઈ રમણલાલ
આપવાના હતા. તે આજ
દિન સુધી તે બાબતમાં
કંઈ further movement થઈ નથી. તેવું
લાગતું નથી. તમે મારું
ધાર્યું આ counter proposal ની તેઓને મન
વસ્યું નહીં હોય. મેં
તો બંને પક્ષની અનુકૂળતા
અને સ્થિતિ સંજોગોને લક્ષમાં લઈને આ લાઈન
લીધી હતી. હવે તમે
બંને ભાઈઓ ત્યાં છો.
ત્યાં બધી રીતે સારી
છે. નબળી છે પરંતુ
ત્યાં આજુબાજુએ જ્યોતિ નથી ગણાતી. તો
તમે બંને ભાઈઓ વિચારી
લખજો. મિ. નાઝુ પાસે
ની આપણી બૂકિંગ માંગણી
ને અનુકૂળ થયામાં આપણને જેવું લાગતું હશે. પરંતુ મિ.
નાઝુ બહુ fair-looking મારી ઈચ્છા થઈ
ગઈ છે. હજુ થોડો
વખત રાહ જોવામાં વાંધો
નથી. નહિતર પછી indirectly મિ. નાઝુ સાથે
પાછા ફરી Counter Proposal અંગે તેઓને શું
વિચારવું એમ Casually પૂછાવડાવીએ. અને આપણા તરફથી
શું ખુલાસો રાખવો છે તે જાણ્યા
પછી આપણી original offer ને આપણો Re-consider કરી
જણાવશું. આ રીતે આ
આખરના બંધારણ અંગે ને ઈચ્છા
થાય છે. આ સિવાય
લાઈનમાં બીજા કોઈના તરફથી
કોઈ પૂછપરછ નથી. આખી સ્થિતિ
સાંજો વખત સુધી આપણે
પણ વિચાર નહી કરીએ.
બીજું
રવિવાર માં તમે બંને
ભાઈઓ શાંતિથી મળી ને વેંત
કરી આપશો. હુ આખા સમાચાર
માં રાજકોટ જઈશ તે સમયે
બાકી કુશળ. બંને ભાઈઓ સંપીને
રહેશો. મિ. બક્ષી પછી
મકાન મેળવી લેવાનું શું કર્યું? મળી
ગયું કે નહીં? ત્યાં
ઈશ્વર રાખે (નવું એડ્રેસ દે
તે) લખી મોકલશો. કૃપા
કરી ત્યાં આગળ નવી મુશ્કેલી
કોઈ સારી ખાનદાન મકાન
કુટુંબમાં પેઇંગ ગેસ્ટ તરીકે રાખવાની વ્યવસ્થા થઈ શકે તો
વધારે સારું. સ્વતંત્ર રૂપે રહેવું કુશળતા
મિ. તા. ઝાઝેરાના સાથે
રહેવાનું રાખશો. એમાં અંજવાળા ના
થાય છે ૨-૫

અમને મંત્રી ને પડધરી રાજકોટમાં

ત્યાંથી થોડા દિવસ પહેલા

પોસ્ટકાર્ડ હતું. અમને પોતાનો ownership ના
લાઈન હજી નથી મળતા
એટલે છ-સો મહિના
નીચી નરસે એટલે તે
દરમ્યાન તા. જટુભાઈને ત્યાંથી
વખત પોતાને ત્યાં રહેવા લાવવા માટે જાણીતો લેશે.
એમ જણાવે છે. પરંતુ તમને
એમની સાથે રહેવાનું નહીં
ફાવે અને તમે માર્ગો
શીખ્યા હોઈ એ સ્વતંત્ર
રૂપે ભાડે લેશો. તે
રીતે તમારી એમની સાથે પણ
થયેલી તેનું અમને ખોટું ન
લાગે તે ખાતર વિધિ
હાજરીમાં જ યોગ્ય છે.
ઓફિસે ઘણો માલ રૂપિયા
આપતા પણ મળી ગયો
હોત તો બે ચાર
મહિના માટે અત્રે માં
લાભ લઈ શકાત. અને
તે દરમ્યાન તમારા બંને ભાઈઓ ગયા,
પરંતુ ન માનિ ના
સંજોગો-લગ્ન પ્રસંગો પતાવી
દઈ શકાત-પરંતુ સંજોગો
સાનુકૂળ નથી થયા.

Bombay. Dear Brother Haruk and Brother Nanu,
Greetings. There is no letter from your end. Write after carefully taking care of health. Your mother's health and my health are good; do not worry. I wish for the well-being of you and the brothers. Dear Brother Nanu, Respected Sister Pushpa-bahen, Shri Amrutlal, and Dear Shailesh departed from Rajkot on the 14th/15th/2. This Nanu and the rest must have arrived safely in Mumbai by evening.
Secondly, the work of painting, coloring, and distempering the house got completed before office hours. Now electrical wire fitting work remains to be done, for which an American-style wireman was called, who provided an estimate for all required materials. His fitting charges and point charges have been fixed at four hundred and fifty rupees. It is a total of 21 points of work. I will go to Rajkot market on Sunday to purchase the required materials. After returning from there, I will start the fitting work immediately.
This means that before the end of this month, all work on the house except for the room on the water side will be completed. After that, once the work for wheat, garlic, and chillies being harvested in Vadia is done, I wish to go out of town for about a month for your mother's dental dentures, to get my eyes checked, to consult regarding a slight effect of neuralgia (joint pain/rheumatism) noticed in the joints, and to take care of health overall. A person's planned work doesn't always materialize as intended; whatever the circumstances at that time...
...or whatever destiny decides, will happen. Truly, what is destined will occur, and we believe there must be some good divine sign in that as well.
Secondly, as mentioned in my earlier letter, regarding the counter-proposal put forth to Mr. Nazu by Shri Manilal-bhai Shah from Baroda—which his brother Ramanlal living in Rajkot was supposed to give to Mr. Nazu—no further movement seems to have taken place in that matter to date. It seems to me that this counter-proposal was not to their liking. I had taken this approach keeping in mind the convenience, situation, and circumstances of both parties.
Now both of you brothers are there. Things are overall fine there; slightly weak, but Jyoti is not considered around there. So both of you brothers discuss and write back. Whatever seems suitable regarding our booking demand with Mr. Nazu... but Mr. Nazu appears very fair-looking in my view. There is no harm in waiting a bit longer. Otherwise, we can indirectly ask Mr. Nazu casually what they think regarding the counter-proposal. After knowing what clarification we need to maintain from our end, we will reconsider and inform about our original offer. This is what is desired regarding the final structure. Apart from this, there is no inquiry from anyone else in this line. We will also not consider the overall situation until evening.
Secondly, on Sunday, both of you brothers meet peacefully and make arrangements. I will go to Rajkot with full news at that time. Rest is all well. Both brothers live together in unity. What was done about getting the house after Mr. Bakshi? Was it obtained or not? Write and send where God keeps you (give the new address). Please, if a arrangement can be made to stay as a paying guest in a good, noble family to avoid new troubles, that would be better. Living independently... keep living with Mr. Ta. Zazera. In that, as light comes, after 2-5 years when Mr. Ta. Rakshit... at that time mine will also remain in Nadiad, time will pass.
