હરેન્દ્ર, તબીયત કેમ છે? તારો
૩ જી તારીખનો પત્ર
અહીં ૪ થી તારીખે
પહોંચી ગયેલો પરંતુ તે જોવાને હું
આજે ભાગ્યશાળી થયો કારણ કે
તારીખ ૩ જી ના
કવારથી હું બહાર ગયો
હતો અને આજે અડધો
કલાક પહેલાં જ અહીં આવ્યો
છું. બહારમાં રહીને પત્ર લખવાનું જ
કામ ચાલુ કર્યું હતું
ઘણાના ઉત્તર આપવાના જ બાકી રહી
ગયા હતા તે પતાવ્યા.
તને પણ લખવા માટે
બે ત્રણ દિવસથી વિચાર
કરતો હતો પરંતુ ક્યાંક
તારો બીજો પત્ર સાયન
મારી પ્રતિક્ષા કરતો હોય ને
તને પત્ર લખવાનું મન
કેમ થાય. જો પત્ર
લખુ તો એ પત્રનો
ઉત્તર તો પછી બાકી
રહી જાય. લગભગ છેલ્લા
બે દિવસથી આખો દિવસ હું
તારા જ વિચારમાં ગરકાવ
રહેતો હતો, તારા એટલે
કે આપણા ભવિષ્યના પ્લાનનો
જ વિચાર કરતો હતો. તુ
માનીશ
પણ નહિ કે હું
પણ હમણાંથી અસંખ્ય વ્યૂહ રચવા માટે વિચારો
કર્યા કરું છું અને
તને પણ તે બાબત
લખવાનો જ હતો કે
આપણે બંને ભાગમાં તે
કાર્ય શરૂ કરીએ. એક
દિવસ જરૂર આપણને લાખ
પુરુષાર્થનો બદલો તો આપશે
જ. આ સિવાય તો
મને પોતાને પણ બીજો રસ્તો
M Vitamin મેળવવાનો દેખાતો નથી. આવી કોઈ
લોટરી કે સધ્ધર વ્યૂહ
લાગે જાય તો પછી
વિચાર કરવા પણ રહેવું
નહિ પડે કેમ ખરૂ
ને ? આપણને બંનેને કેસેટીનો વિચાર સાથે જ સ્ફૂર્યો
છે એટલે તેમાં તો
મને હવે ખૂબ જ
શ્રધ્ધા બેસી ગઈ છે
કે જરૂર આપણે તેમાં
શોભ મેળવશું. તો હવે કઈ
રીતે કામકાજ આગળ પર ચાલુ
રાખીશું તે જણાવજે.
Expt. in inreination Living વાળા મહેન્દ્રભાઈ પાસેથી
વિગત મંગાવી હશે અને હવે
તો આવી પણ ગઈ
હશે. શું જણાવે છે
તેઓ? આપણી મુરાદને સહેજ
પણ પ્રોત્સાહન મળે તેમ છે
કે નહિ? જો કે
તેમના
તરફથી જો સહકાર મળે
તો ખૂબ જ સારી
વાત છે અને કદાચ
ન પણ મળે તો
આપણે નિરાશ થઈને બેસી રહેવું
પાલવે તેમ છે જ
નહિ. હવે તો M vit. જેટલું
જલ્દી મળે તેટલું સારું.
અત્યારે જ તેની ખાસ
જરૂર છે. મોટા થયા
પછી મળશે તો કાંઈ
ખાસ ઉપયોગ માં આવવાનું નથી.
હું તો માનું છું
કે કોઈના તરફથી જો રેસ એન્ડ
સારી ગાડી મળી જાય
(લેટ) તો પણ આપણા
માટે બસ છે આગળ
પર જોયું કરશે. ગાડી મળી જાય
પછી તો જેમ તેમ
જ પૈસાનો બંદોબસ્ત કરવાનો રહેશે અને જો Expt in inteination Living વાળાનો પણ સહકાર મળી
જાય તો પછી ગંગા
નાહ્યા!
હમણાં
તને પત્ર લખવા બેસતો
હતો ત્યારે V.D (વિજય) આવ્યો મને મગજ ગમાડ્યો
હતો તે તને યાદ
કરે છે. મહેન્દ્ર પણ
અવારનવાર મળે છે ભાઈનો
પત્ર ૩ જી તારીખે
હતો ઉત્તર લખીને રાખ્યો છે પણ હમણાં
મારે M vitamin નો વ્યુહ જ
જોય છે એટલે સ્ટેમ્પ
કરવાના પૈસા નથી. થોડા
દિવસમાં પોસ્ટ થઈ જશે તે
મજામાં છે. માતાજી રજાઓમાં
એક અઠવાડીયું Post
Office માં તેને
કામ કર્યું. અહીના પણ ઉજાપો તે
પણ દરો અઠવાડીયે આવે
છે, જો કે આ
અઠવાડીયાનો પત્ર હજુ સુધી
આવ્યો નથી. કદાચ નાતાલન.
ઉજવવામાં ટાઈમ મળ્યો નહિ
હોય. ત્યાં સ્નો પડવો શરૂ
થઈ ગયો છે. તેઓ
મજામાં છે, મજા કરે
છે કાંઈ ખાસ જાણવા
જેવું તે હજી સુધી
લખતા નથી. તારો પત્ર
મળ્યો કે નહિ તે
મેં પણ પુછાવ્યું છે.
તારા
મોકલાવેલ ફોટાઓ મળ્યા છે બધા જ
ખૂબ જ સુંદર છે.
ફોટાઓ જોઈને તો મને ભારે
ઈર્ષા થઈ હતી અને
તે પણ ખાસ કરીને
તાજમહાલ પાસે બેસીને પડાવેલ
ફોટો જોઈને. હજુ સુધી મેં
તાજ જોયો જ નથી
અને જોવાની તો ખૂબ જ
ઈચ્છા છે પણ આશાને
આધારે દિવસો પસાર કરૂં છું
કાં તો એ ઈચ્છા
ટુંક મુદતમાં પુરી થશે તેમ
લાગે છે કેમ ખરૂ
ને !

Dear Harendra,
How is your health? Your letter dated the 3rd reached here on the 4th, but I was fortunate enough to see it only today because I had gone out since the evening of the 3rd and arrived here just half an hour ago. While staying outside, I had started the work of writing letters itself; the ones left to reply to were finished. I had been thinking of writing to you for the last two or three days as well, but lest another letter of yours be waiting for me at Sion, how could I feel like writing a letter? If I wrote a letter, then the reply to that letter would remain pending later. For almost the last two days, I was completely absorbed in thoughts of you all day long—that is, I was thinking about our future plans.
You won't even believe it, but lately I too keep thinking about formulating countless strategies, and I was actually going to write to you about starting that work in partnership. One day, our hard work will definitely pay off a hundredfold. Other than this, I personally see no other way to obtain 'M Vitamin' (Money). If some lottery or solid strategy like this hits, then we won't even need to think further, isn't that true? Since the idea of 'Cassette' occurred to both of us at the same time, I now have immense faith in it that we will surely achieve success in it. So now do let me know how we shall proceed with the work ahead.
You must have requested details from Mahendrabhai of Expt. in International Living, and by now they must have arrived as well. What do they say? Is there any encouragement for our desire? Though if we get cooperation from their side, it would be a very good thing; and even if we don't, we simply cannot afford to sit back disappointed. Now, the sooner 'M Vit.' is obtained, the better. There is a special need for it right now. Getting it after growing old is not going to be of any particular use. I believe that even if we get a pass and a good car (late) from someone, it is enough for us; we will see about things ahead. Once we get a car, we will just have to arrange for money somehow, and if we also get cooperation from Expt in International Living, then we would have hit the jackpot!
Just as I was sitting down to write you a letter, V.D. (Vijay) came; my mind was disturbed, he remembers you. Mahendra also meets occasionally. Brother's letter was dated the 3rd; I have written a reply and kept it, but right now I am looking for a strategy for 'M Vitamin', so I don't have money for stamps. It will be posted in a few days. He is doing well. During the holidays, Mother worked in the Post Office for a week. Updates from over here also come every week, though this week's letter hasn't arrived yet. Perhaps she didn't get time while celebrating Christmas. Snow has started falling there. She is doing well and enjoying herself; she hasn't written anything particularly noteworthy so far. I have also inquired whether she received your letter or not.
I have received the photos you sent; all of them are very beautiful. Looking at the photos made me deeply envious, especially the photo taken sitting near the Taj Mahal. I haven't seen the Taj yet, and I have a great desire to see it, but I am passing the days on hope. It seems that desire will be fulfilled in a short time, isn't that true!
Take good care of your health. My respected mother and Bhupendra remember you often. Jyoti must be doing well. She must have grown big by now, right?
When will I receive a reply to the letter?
