વડિયા. તા. ૨૦ / ૧૨/૫૫ ચિ. ભાઈ બટુક - વિગઈકાલે તમારા તા. ૧૫/૧૨ ના પત્ર, ત્રણ ફોટા, અને તપાસી મુની- નું ફોલ્ડર રાત ફારેસ્ટ અને મળી ગયા છે આ પત્ર તમે શિકાગો ગઈ આવ્યા પછી લખેલા. તમને પોંચી ગયા હશે અને ઘરડું કુશળ સમાચાર છે. ભાઈ તમારા માતુશ્રી ને અને ઘરમાં સૌની તબીયત સારી છે. નાના ભૂલકાંઓ લહેરમાં છે શાન્તિ, લલિતા, ગોકુળ આણંદ પાં સૌ પંચાયા છે. ડાક્ટર રમણીકલાલ ને તમારો પત્ર જુવી પાકિસ્તાન આપેલો... એવામાં અમને આશય ચાલતી ચોપારૂ પત્ર મળ્યા રહે છે. એટલે તમને વ્યાજ કદાચ વહેલો મોડો લખશે- પા. વિનોદ મુંબઈમાં મર્હં રટીયરમાં wireless operator તરીકે નોકરી રહી ગયા છે. ચિ. સૌ. સવિતા બહેન તથા શ્રી મણિલાલ ઈન્ડોનેશીયા ગયા છે. બીજી ચિ. શ્રી. એસ મુંબરાયે અપેશીસ આપવા નું મુલતવી રાખ્યું છે. અને સર્વિસ માટે ટ્રાય રિયે

તમારો... સાગર ... ની કોશિશ સહી કરીને. પાકિસ્તાન માર્કિલાવ સારું એટલે ડોસીકુ શન. સારું પાર્ટનરશીપ નું ડીડ અમે સહી કરીને મોકલવા ની જરૂર નથી. માટે જનરલ પાવર સારું રહેશેની? કે જે છાપેલા ફોર્મમાં છે તે ફોર્મ તમને મોટા ભાઈએ રાનફોરેસ્ટ- શેર અથવા સાદા મહેલ રૂ પામિલા પાઠે છે તેમાં ઉપર ત્યાંના ગવર્નમેન્ટ નિયમાનુસાર જેટલા સ્ટેમ્પ લાગતા હોય તેટલા ચોડીને ત્યાંના કોઈ Notary Public અથવા Magistrate ની સાક્ષી તમારે સહી કરીને ત્યાંરૂ સીધો- Sea mart ને મોકલાવી આપશો. બીજું તમને "મિલાપ" નવેમ્બર સુધી લાવ્યાનાં ખબર ત્યાં મહેન્દ્ર તરફથી મળી ગયા છે. તે તો ઓર્ડિનરી Sea mart સાથે એટલે તમને મહિને હાદિ મહીને મળતા રહેશે - તમારા રગા ઉમા Thanks giving festival વાળો પત્ર પાંરૂ.. મિલાપોમાં... લેવા જેવો ભાગ હશે તે બનતા સુધી નવદિયાતીમાં વાંચી આપશે

બીજું તમને પૈસા આપવા અઠવાડિયાથી તે ભાઈ આપશે - સસારમાં ચિલારોના પૈસા એવાનાં સાડા આઠ હજાર મળી ગયા છે. તેથી ખૂબ જ હરિયામાં ઘાણિયા ના અને સાંભળ્યાતા - અને મુંબઈ નોનપનાઈના બે પણ પામિતાબ આપી આવશે, નગર આપશે - પ્રુ. કૂવા ને પાઠવવાનું બાકી રહેશે. એટલે તે બીજા પૈસા નાં માર્ચ પછી પૂર્ણ મેળવી શકશે એટલે એપ્રિલમાં આપી હશે. listing ને આપેલા વર્ષો તથા સાથે લઈ ગયા અને પાઇપમાં કેટલા પામિલાર અને જાણીતા પામિલા પાશે તે બધાનો સરવાળો સાડા આઠ કે વધુ થઈ જશે- શાન્તિ નું fixture લખાણોડીટ છે ધોલા જનરલ પરિના થયાં બજેટૉટરમાં પંચાણ ની સોધારે આપશે ઉપરાંત- ડ્રેસર, ગારપેર મુનીર, વગેરે અંગી બરાબર પણ પંચાય છે. અત્યારે તો આ વગૂર મ્યુનીસીપાલીટી માંથી વરાવવા માટે સરકાર તરફથી લોન મળવી અઘરી...

અત્યારે ચાય છે. છોડવાઓ ખુબ સરસ છે. તમારું Kitchen નો ટેસ્ટ સાબુ પંચાતા શાખા સારું રહ્યું છે. હમણાં પણ લખાશે... ભાવતા પત્રમાં વિશેષ લખાશે. જ્યોતિની સોધે સહી છે.

 

...મુંગા થવાના... છે - ૧૨. અનુભાઈ લખાણ રૂમમાં છે. છે. તે અથવા મોટા ભાઈ વાશકુશલ ડાયરેક્ટરમાં જાય છે- દલસુખ અને બાબુને ડીલીવરી ઈન્સ્ટ્રુમેન્ટ ન. ૪ મા અને .૩૨. તથા ગારપેર - તે પણ વગેરે તૈયાર શિખવામાં રસિયે છે- ચિલા નાનુને એપ સેપબળ અત્યારા પાસે માહિતીના fixture પાંચૂ ધૂરીથી ૧, દીધો છે. fan ની ટેસ્ટર આપણી નીય. આજી ૨, ગઈ છે - પરંતુ ત્યાં આગળ અમે પોતે રેગ્યુલેટર ૩, નીચવા પડ્યા છે અનેનું વાડીનું fixture પણ ૪, બરાબર ચાલે છે. શિયાળુ પિતામાં ભારણ વધારું ૫, વાવેતર કર્યું છે તથા શાક પણ અગાઉ વાવ્યું છે. તે ઉપરાંત, અરધા વીઘામાં છોરોને લીલા ઘાસ બાજરી ૬, વાવ્યું છે - ઉપરાંત ઘર પુરતું - શાકભાજી ૭, પણ થોડું થોડું વાવેલું છે - પાપૈયા ૩-૪ ગયા ૮, વર્ષે વધારે નાખેલા નહીં અને જૂના પેંડો જેથી ૯, કાપવા પડ્યા એટલે આખું શિયાળામાં ઘરપૂરતા ૧૦, થોડા થોડા મળતા રહેશે. અને મેળ પણ ક્યારેક ક્યારેક અમો લંપ ઉગતી રહે છે. વાડીમાં અત્યારે જવારસ રાખેલા છે- આ જૂનાવાળું વાઘને પાપડી કૂરો રાખવા પડ્યા છે ઉપરાંત એક કુંભારો છોરો જુવાન અને ખેતીકામનો વગદાર સાથય પણ રહે છે બંનેને પણ પગાર ૪૦ + ૩૦ = ૭૦ પાતિ+ છે. હાલ અમે બાકી કુશળ અહિંયાથી જાણવું ફીલ્ડર પિતા તથા માની ત્યાં કઈ જવું પડે - એટલે તમારી તબીયત બરાબર સંભાળજો - આખું સખત ઠંડી પાં બહારગામ ક્યાંય આવવાનું રાખતા - સદ્દ ચિંતા રહે છે બહાર ગયાનું રાખતૈયાર ઠંડીમાં, માથા અને કાનની બરાબર hand કે રાખજો - અને તમારા પિતરાઈ ને શિખામણ.. મનયારી ૨૦મી અપરિચિત છે માં સ્ટેશન પૂરી થતાં પહેલા આ પત્ર લખી પાડશો- ડાક્ટર પણ પરિચય પૂર્તિ કરી સમયગા વચમાં સોઈને પણ લખવાનું રાખશો એવી પણ ખબર- ચિ. જાનુબેન નાં શુભ...

ભાઈ બટુક તારો પત્ર મળવાથી ઘર ગોજ આનંદ છે જો તારું વજન વધ્યું તો જાણી ખુશી થશે પેલા ખરજવાનું કંઈ ઠક્યું છે નહીં આંખના નંબર ...

Dear Brother Batuk,

Greetings. Yesterday, your letter dated 15/12, three photos, and the folder regarding Munir from Rain Forest were received. You wrote this letter after returning from your trip to Chicago. It must have reached you, and all are well at home. Brother, your mother's health and everyone else's health at home is good. Little children are enjoying themselves in high spirits. Shanti, Lalita, Gokul, and Anand—everyone has reached here. Your letter was given to Dr. Ramniklal to forward to Pakistan... Letters keep coming back and forth regarding our thoughts, so he will write to you sooner or later.

Brother Vinod has secured a job as a wireless operator in Mumbai upon retirement. Dear Sister Savita and Mr. Manilal have gone to Indonesia. Secondly, Dear Mr. S. Mumbrai has postponed submitting applications and is trying for service.

Regarding your... signing... attempt to send to Pakistan, so that the execution goes well. There is no need for us to sign and send a partnership deed; a General Power of Attorney will be better, which is on a printed form. Big Brother has sent that form to you from Rain Forest—either by share or simple mail. Upon that, affixing as many stamps as required by local government rules over there, get it witnessed and signed by a Notary Public or Magistrate there and send it directly via Sea Mail.

Secondly, news of receiving "Milap" up to November was received from Mahendra there. Since it is sent by ordinary Sea Mail, you will receive it every month or month and a half. Your Thanksgiving festival letter... parts worth taking for Milap will be read out in Navadiyati as far as possible.

Last month, when Babu Champaram visited Sweden and Israel, as well as written thesis... Similarly, whenever you travel out of town and get to observe things useful to our country, as well as thesis material, keep sending them to Brother Mahendra. Regarding those, letters containing permission and listing from Mr. Motilal... need to be rewritten and sent to you. It is not appropriate to waste their time for tips... but Dear Sister Jyoti will rewrite and send them to you. However, keep this in mind: write on such occasions only if it does not disturb your studies. Otherwise, we, Shanti, the sisters, and your other cousins should also write carefully and avoid frequent letters—providing detailed information in the second year after finishing current commitments.

Secondly, regarding giving you money, Brother will give it in a week... In the family, eight and a half thousand of Chilar's money has been received, which brought great satisfaction... and two payments from Mumbai will also be completed or given... sent to the well remains pending, so those other funds can be fully obtained after March and given in April. The years given for listing along with what was taken along, and totaling how many acquaintances/associates in the pipe—the sum will reach eight and a half or more.

Shanti's fixture writing/audit is completed; in the general report, Municipality improvements will be shown. Besides—dresser, Garper, Munir, etc., are also progressing well. Currently, getting loans from the Municipality through the government is difficult...

...going silent... Brother Anu's writing is in the room. He or Big Brother is going directly to the Director. Dalsukh and Babu are interested in learning delivery instrument No. 4, No. 32, and Garper... Dear Nanu was provided information/fixture again. Fan tester was brought. Regulators were installed over there, and the farm fixture is running properly. In the winter season, extra sowing was done and vegetables were planted earlier. Additionally, green fodder/millet was sown in half a bigha—plus a little vegetable garden for household consumption. 3-4 papayas from last year were not kept much, and old stumps had to be cut, so throughout winter, small supplies will be available for home.

Jowar (sorghum) is currently kept at the farm—old stalks and papdi crops had to be preserved. Additionally, a young potter boy stays to assist in agricultural work; both are paid wages of 40 + 30 = 70.

For now, all else is fine here. Since father and mother might have to travel somewhere from here—take good care of your health. Avoid going out of town in severe cold—we worry constantly. If you go out in the cold, cover your head and ears properly with a hand/cloth—and pass advice to your cousins... Write this letter before the 20th station ends. Doctor also advised to write in between whenever time permits. Good wishes from Dear Janubahen...

Brother Batuk, receiving your letter brought great joy to the home. Will be happy to know if your weight increased. Is there any relief from that eczema/skin issue? Eye prescription...
