ગયો હશે. ત્યાર બાદ
ભારત તરફથી પત્ર ન હોય
તો એ આશા રાખવામાં
મળવો જોઈએ. અને તરફ કુશળ
સમાચાર છે. મારા બાની
તેમજ બાની તબિયત ઘણી
સારી છે. કોઈ જાતની
ફિકર ચિંતા કરશો નહીં. બાની
તબિયત બરાબર સંભાળજો. ત્યાં સાગર ગરમી ૧૦૦
સુધી પહોંચે છે તેથી નોર્થ
તરફ વિજ્ઞાસનો પ્રદેશ ઉષ્ણકટિબંધ તરફ વળતાં હશે.
અને તો આ સાથે
વરસાદ શું કરિયા ધાર્યું
છે તે કંઈ કહી
શકાતું નથી. ધોધમાર પંદર
દિવસ થયાંતો વરસાદનાં સખત મોટા ઝાપટા
પડી જાય છે. પરંતુ
પરમદિવસે તો મૂસળધાર વરસ્યો
છે. એમાં જો વરસાદ
બંધ ન થાય તો
સારામાં સારો તૈયાર થયેલો
પાક ખડપા સંભવ છે.
જાણે ને તો નુકસાન
પહોંચા ગયું છે. અત્યારે
જવારના વ્યાપારના રૂા. ૧૦/- થઈ
ગયા છે. ત્યાર વરસાદ
વગર પડાતા ત્યારે સખત ગરમી અને
ઉચાટ રહેશે. એટલે એટલું વરસાદનું
નુકસાન લોકોની પાનપતા મુજબ એટલે પાંચ
છ દિવસ વરસાદનું જોર
રહેશે પછી નરમ પડશે.
અત્યારે એરંડીની વણતો એક જેટલા
દિવસો બાકી છે. આપણે
વાડીમાં બજારમાં તલ વાવ્યા છે,
ને સારા છે અંદરનાં
ભાગમાં અને બીજામાં ઘાસપત્તી
ત્યાર બાકી છે. તે
પણ સારી છે. અને
વધારામાં વાવેલો તેનાં કુંડાસ લીધા છે કારણ
કે આપણા બહૂ ઉતરી
આવ્યા હોય તો પાઈપનાં
ઓરસચોરસ ચગતે પણ થશે
અડધા વીઘામાં ઘરમાં પાયા સુધી પાઈપ
વાળી છે પણ રાખી
છે. અને ઉપલી ધારમાં
ઠેર ઠેર નરનું મધર
વાવ્યું છે. કૂવા ઉંડાણમાં
મહીના પછી પો પૌંઆ
તે નીચેની માયલાં વાવ્યા છે તે ફુલાતા
થઈ જશે. બાકી ફળ
સારા થતાં નથી - સાંડા
તો ભોગ કોઈક આવી
થાકિયામાં મારે નહી પાડીએ
તો થોડા થોડા કૂવા
પાંડશે વાડીનાં કૂવા પાછી પંપના
બીયમો પડાઉ સી એ
દેનીય છે કૂવા ૩૦
ફીટ વાડીમાં પાણી છે તેમજ
છે.

ગયો છે ત્યાં સાગર

સુધી રહેશે ત્યાંથી સીધો રાજકોટ આવવાનો
કારણ કે ૨૫ નવેમ્બર
વધારાપ પાગસની તાલીમ છે. આપણા સમાચાર
આપે છે. ભાઈ ભાઈઓ
અને ઘરો ભાઈ સુખમાં
ખૂબ ડૂબ્યા રહે છે. મતલબ
એ જે ધંધારોજગાર ની
ચિંતા કરવાની જરૂર ચિ. સૌ.

બદલી થવાનું નક્કી થયું છે. તે
સારું કલકત્તા એ બહેનનાં ખૂબ
વપરાતાં પચાસાવ છે. રાજકોટમાં જ
બન્ને ભાઈઓ તથા ચિ.
સૌ. ચંપા તથા ચિ.
સૌ. વિમળા અને ચારિય બા
સાનંદમાં છે રામ અને
બાની કુશળ વાતો પત્ર
ભૂલશો નહિ. એ. આપુના

મંજુબેને અહી હતા ત્યારે
તમારો પત્ર મળેલ. હવે
થોડા દિવસમાં તરફથી બીજો કાગળ આવવો
જોઈએ. અહીંથી મંજુબેને લખેલ કાગળ ત્યાં
મળી ગયો હશે. અહીં
સૌની તબિયત સારી છે, ત્યાં
તમારી તબિયત પણ બરાબર હશે!
ત્યાં હવે બરાબર settle થઈ
ગયા હશો, ત્યાં પણ
હિન્દી વિદ્યાર્થીઓ છે એટલે તમને
ખાસ અડચણ નહી પડતી
હોય. કલકત્તાથી ભાઈનાં ખુશીખબરનાં...

આવે છે. નાનુભાઈ ગયા
ગુરૂવારે કલકત્તા પહોંચી ગયા છે. આજે
ત્યાંથી કાગળ છે. ત્યાંઈ
દિનેશ દશેરા પછી અહીં આવશે,
ત્રણ દિવસથી નોરતા શરૂ થઈ ગયા
છે. તા. ૩૧ મી
થી દિવાળી શરૂ થાય છે
એ તો ખબર હશે.
આજે ભાવનગરથી વિનુભાઈ ગાંધીનો કાગળ છે લખે
છે કે ઊંચા જીવન
ધોરણવાળા ઓની વચ્ચે 'મહાત્મા'
નું (તમારૂં) બિરુદ જીવીવાઈ રહ્યું છે કે નહિ?
અલીયા બેનનાં ઘરથી તથા અત્યંત....
ભાઈનાં ઘરથી સૌએ તમને
યાદી લખાવી છે. અહીં હમણાં
વરસાદનું ઠીક જોર છે.
ત્યાં તો તમારે ઉનાળો
ચાલતો હશે. ત્યાંની સીઝન
અહીનાં પ્રમાણે નહિ હોય. મિલાપ
બરાબર મળતું હશે. ત્યાંના નવીન

Dear Brother Baku,
Greetings. You must have received my previous letter dated 21/9. After that, if there is no letter from India, one should be expected soon. News from this side is good. My Ba's health, as well as Ba's overall health, is very good. Do not worry or be anxious about anything. Take good care of Ba's health. Over there, the heat reaches up to 100 degrees, so heading north toward the region of science might be turning toward the tropics. Nothing can be said for sure about what the rain intends to do alongside this.
For the past fifteen heavy days, severe large downpours have been falling. But day before yesterday, it poured torrential rain. In this situation, if the rain doesn't stop, the best ready crop is likely to rot. As you know, damage has occurred. Right now, sorghum (jowar) trading has reached Rs. 10/-. When it wasn't raining, there was severe heat and restlessness. That is to say, as much as people's endurance goes regarding rainfall damage, the intensity of rain will last for five or six days and then soften. Currently, a few days remain for castor harvesting. At the farm (Wadi) market, we sowed sesame, and they are good; inside and in other parts, grass/fodder is still remaining, which is also good.
Additionally, ears/cobs of what was sown have been taken, because if a lot of ours has come down, square arrangements for pipes will also be made. Pipe has been laid up to the house foundation in half a bigha and kept ready. On the upper edge, sweet basil/flower plants have been sown here and there. In the depth of the well, what was sown below will bloom after a month. Otherwise, fruits are not doing well—without proper care, if we don't protect them, few wells will drop. Behind the farm well, pump fittings are installed... there is 30 feet of water in the farm well as it is.
Secondly, today a letter with good news arrived from Dear Brother Nathu in Calcutta. Dated 1/10, he reached Calcutta via Madras; he will stay there until Dasara on 12/10 and then come straight to Rajkot because there is additional Pagas training on 25 November. He gives our news. The brothers and household members remain deeply immersed in happiness. Meaning, there is no need to worry about business/employment.
Dear Respected Sister Panju Bahen went to Gondal on 1/10. It has been decided that Dear J.S. Kumar Rai's science methodology line quarters will transfer to Rajkot. For that reason, that sister's frequently used items are in Calcutta. In Rajkot itself, both brothers, Dear Sister-in-law Champa, Dear Sister-in-law Vimla, and all four along with Ba are in joyful spirits. Do not forget to write letters about Ram and Ba's well-being.

Bakulbhai, Manjuben received your letter while she was here. Now another letter should arrive from your side in a few days. The letter written from here by Manjuben must have reached you there. Everyone's health is good here; hope your health is also good over there! You must have settled in properly by now; there are Indian students there as well, so you shouldn't face much difficulty. Letters with good news from Brother keep coming from Calcutta. Nanubhai reached Calcutta last Thursday; there is a letter from there today. From there, Dinesh will come here after Dasara. Navratri (Norata) started three days ago. As you might know, Diwali begins on the 31st.
Today a letter arrived from Vinubhai Gandhi in Bhavnagar; he writes asking whether your title of 'Mahatma' is surviving among those with high standards of living or not? Everyone from Aliya Bahen's house and extremely... Brother's house has sent their regards to you. Right now there is a good spell of rain here. It must be summer going on over there; the season there won't be like ours here. Hope you are receiving Milap regularly. Keep writing about recent news from there. Write letters whenever at leisure.
