Dear Brother Batuk,
Received your letter a few days ago. Everyone was pleased and satisfied. It is very good that you changed your hotel, and the family is happy to know that there is a possibility of getting a Flat by July. Nevertheless, you should keep going for interviews frequently and continue meeting Jashida, so that an impression remains on their mind to allot the Flat early and quickly. And 15–20 days before they are due to vacate the Flat, you should move in to stay there with them, so that the landlord doesn't suspect that the Flat has been vacated, and Dhanvantbhai can also move his extra belongings from there at his convenience and leisure.
Secondly, regarding your marriage, it was written separately to the Doctor that they should plan to hold the wedding at their free will according to their convenience and circumstances. We should look at our own convenience and situational circumstances. However, it was clearly stated that under no circumstances do we have any...
...pressure (insistence) to hold the wedding in a state of inconvenience. In response to that, the following clarification has arrived from his end today:
"No decision has been taken yet from my end, or with Chi. Chunibhai or Sha. Shri Chunilal-bhai, regarding holding Chi. Bharti's wedding around (Asha)dh or after Magsar. Because we stay in Chapa's house and there is a lot of heat — health is not well — nevertheless, when Chi. Chunibhai comes here around June 20th, we will decide; otherwise when Shankarbhai writes, we will meet there and finalize it. It is our strong wish that the wedding be finalized upon coming to Ahmedabad. Except that it is our strong wish... Chunibhai does not wish to return to Bardoli in Mumbai, and the whole wish is to hold the wedding in Mumbai... All these decisions will be taken in two to four days and informed — when."
I will write in reply to this letter as follows: that without worrying about anything, even if you gladly hold the wedding after the month of Magsar in Ahmedabad according to everyone's convenience, suitability, and wishes, we have not the slightest objection.
Secondly, Motabhai and his family went to Ahmedabad as elders. Along with them, Chi. Chunibhai Sanghani and his father, who went to Ahmedabad from Motera, have also come to Mumbai. They had mutual joy. Chi. Brother Dinesh also went to Ahmedabad. So there was a lot of pressure of visitors meeting at the Doctor's place — my letter reached them there on time. But with all the hustle and bustle of visitors, it doesn't seem possible to quietly reflect and make a decision regarding the wedding — hence the clarification as written above.
Motabhai has taken Chi. Brother Dinesh along with him and gone nearby — without giving any thought to Brother Dinesh's studies, and without having any worry that it will ruin his studies or that he will get frustrated being alone. Dinesh is ignorant and foolish, but Motabhai didn't even ask. At this age, how much is his responsibility, and what kind of blood is this—no one knows. Understanding this causes great pain, but we keep it inside our hearts! God has given you both great memory power — may God show you both the path. God give good sense to everyone — we remember you with only this prayer. There are no other hopes.
...There are no other expectations from other brothers for us. Your thoughts and calculations regarding Chi. Brother Dinesh are correct. However, after you all arrive after the 15th or 25th, regarding the possibility or impossibility of admission according to our wishes...
(Left Margin) ...Now what can happen? Brother Dinesh has also gone there with his Uncle, and going there, even engineering doesn't seem possible...

Dear Brother Hemant,
Received your letter today. Read it and noted the details. Regarding your marriage, we have written to convey our consent to Doctor Saheb to hold it according to his convenience. He was very pleased, and his response to that effect has also arrived. The wedding is to be held in the coming month of Magsar (Nov–Dec), so by then, hopefully, our house will be available to you. Therefore, do not worry about that matter in the slightest.
Noted that you received notice from your boss regarding the termination of your service after three months. There is no reason at all to feel troubled or worried by this news. Firmly believe that there must be some good intention of God in this happening as well. We still have a remaining expectation of five years of prototype experience service, so by the grace of God, the time for us to set up a productive industry will arrive by then. Therefore, do not keep any burden on your mind regarding this matter. Stay cheerful and happy; moreover, it is the peak mango season there, so arrange to get a basket of good mangoes sooner or later, and keep a routine of mangoes and milk. Otherwise, as per your plan, keep making efforts in the meantime at Larsen & Toubro and other places, and also go meet Doctor Saheb in Ahmedabad this weekend. And as you have thought...
...talk to him. When he spoke to you with affection, if any good opportunity can be found through him, there is no harm in considering it. Well, Doctor Saheb has good interactions and contacts with many prominent owners in Ahmedabad, so he will certainly do his best for you.
Secondly, Shri Durlabhjibhai has been the President of the Bombay Industries Association for the last 10 years. He also has acquaintances with many industrial owners. So if you feel it appropriate and wish, I will write a letter to him as well, and he will also be of help to you. The name of their Association's (main newsletter) has also been sent to you today with corrections. What I mean to write is, do not keep any load on your mind regarding the job matter.
Secondly, Motabhai must have finally arrived in Rajkot. I infer this from a letter received two days ago. When I personally go to Rajkot on the scheduled date, I will discuss it. And Chi. Manubhai's father-in-law, Shri Harilal Bhai, passed away from heart disease on the 20th at Jetpur. Anu and Respected Bindu went there. Last Monday, the rest of us and Raji went to Jetpur; Manubhai stayed for a day in Jetpur and returned. The post-funeral rites for the late Harilal Bhai are on... so on 11/6 we too...
Don't worry, Respected Pushpa Bahen has the pass. All friends there are fine; 20–22 days have passed without news. Naturally, there is concern about health, etc., and inquiries were made. Write to Chandu Bahen in a timely manner to ask about her well-being too. Everyone here is fine. Both brothers passed. Write more or less.
Yours with respectful greetings,
Bapuji
(Main Letter Body)
Dear Brother Hemendra,
Since we could not get accommodation at Tithal, we reached Bhavnagar last Saturday. I had gone in person to Tithal; it is 4 miles away from Valsad. On the very day we reached Bhavnagar, news came from Jetpur that my father-in-law Harilal Bhai had passed away on Thursday, the 26th. Therefore, all of us came here on Monday morning. From here, both I and your sister-in-law went to Jetpur. We had left the children here. I returned here from Jetpur on Tuesday. Your sister-in-law will stay in Jetpur until his final rites on 12/6. I am right here for now.
Today, I read your letter addressed to Bapuji. Came to know that you will have to change your job. Whatever Hari (God) brings about, much thought is behind it. Further efforts remain to be made. Keep informing us about what results come up.
Yesterday, there was a letter from Brother Vajubhai from Rajkot. Motabhai and Bapuji haven't returned yet. In his letter, it was mentioned that a demonstration has been fixed near the Reclamation on the 11th. Shri Narayan will arrive on that day. Therefore, I will leave from here on the 14th for Bhavnagar, where I will end up at Labh's place.
Wishing for your well-being.
Respectful greetings from Arvind
