ચિ. તમારો છેલ્લો પત્ર તા. ૧૩/૯ નો મળ્યો. તેથી પહોંચ. આણંદથી તા. ૨૦/૯ ના લખેલી મળી ગઈ હશે. આમ એક મહિનો થયો તમારા તરફથી પત્ર ન રહે તેથી સૌને ચિંતા થાય. તે સ્વાભાવિક છે. અમે તા. ૧/૧૦ ના આણંદથી અને અહીં ગયા છીએ. આણંદમાં આંખની ટ્રીટમેન્ટ માંડ ૧૦/૧૨ દિવસ કરી હશે ત્યાં માજી તબીયત લથડી. તાવ ઉધરસ કે ઈ કફ વગેરેનો ઉપદ્રવ વધ્યો. તે અહીં સુધી કેમનો આવેલ નથી. અમને આણંદ આવ્યા પછી તમારા માતુશ્રીની તબીયત પણ લથડી. એને પગ માગી જાય. ઉધરસ + કફ અને દમનો ઉપદ્રવ રહે છે. હવા ઉપચાર બન્નેમાં ચાલુ છે. દરપરશે આ ભાદરવા મહિનાની ઋતુમાં આવા ઉપદ્રવ થઈ આવે છે પરંતુ જેમ જેમ ઋતુ બદલતા સારુ થઈ જશે. ચિંતા કરવા જેવું નથી. ચિહ્નોની અમારી આ ઉંમરે. તમે આટલે દૂર ગયા પછી નિયમીત પત્ર ન મળે તેથી માનસિક વ્યથા વધે એવો પ્રકૃતિ જન્ય બાબત રહી તરૂ લોકો ઉપાયો તમે સૌ ભાઈઓ જો મેળવી શકતા રહેતો. અમારી પ્રકૃતિ જન્ય મનોવ્યથા આપો આપ દૂર થઈ જાય. મારી આંખ. આપ લોકોથી વગર દર્દ જગડવાની પાછળનું કારણ પણ અગમ્ય મનોવ્યથા. ડું આંતરીક અને બાહ્ય કારણીયોનું અનુભવી સાયકોલોજીસ્ટ નું નિદાન છે. આંખ હજુ એમ જ છે. Oper વધાર થઈ ગઈ છે. તબીયત સારી થઈ. આંખની ટ્રીટમેન્ટ ટૂંકી થાકું + ત્રીશ અત્યારે તો મોતીયો ઉતરાવેલ ડાબી આંખે છે

 

 જોવું પડે છે તેથી ઘણી તકલીફ પડે છે. આખુંય કશું થઈ જતા બહાર નીકળવામાં તકલીફ પડે છે. પરંતુ શું થાય? ભાગ્યમાં જે વિધાનું હશે તે ભોગવવા છૂટકો. તમે તમારા અભ્યાસમાં મશગૂલ રહેશો અનેની બિલકુલ ચિંતા કરશો નહીં. તમે તમારી ફિલોમાં દાખલ થઈ ગયા હશો. અને અભ્યાસ પણ બરાબર ચાલુ થઈ ગયો હશે. તમને ત્યાંના હવામાન બરાબર માફક આવી ગયા હશે. ખોરાકમાં શું શું લો છો તે લખી જણાવશો. અને તમારા સાથીદારો કેવા મળ્યા છે. તેના નામો લખી જણાવજો. ખાનપાનની બાબતમાં તેમજ બીજી બાબતમાં તમે રૂબરૂમાં જે મલાયજો કર્યો છે. તે મુજબ બરાબર નિયમમાં રહેશો. તમે બહુ દૂર ગયા છો તમારા માટે સૌને ચિંતા રહ્યા કરે છે. એટલે પત્ર નિયમીત લખતા રહેશો. બીજું તમારા મંજૂર થયેલા લોનના નાણાં સરભર કરવામાં એક જ મળ્યા નહિ. તેમાં સૌ મુશ્કેલી ઉભી થતાં મોડું થયું છે. બીજું સિક્યોરીટી બોન્ડ મુજબ વ્યાસચંદભાઈએ સહી કરી આપવાનું પણ એવું તે એણે અપ છે છો. મેં સહી કરી આપવાની પાડી નથી, તેણે સહી કરી નહીં આપું, તેવું બીજા કોઈને ઉભો કરવાના રહ્યો. આ તેના ન્યાયપૂર્વક વાદ રહ્યું તેને તેને આપણાયાં સંપૂર્ણ વિશ્વાસ છે તે તેમ વાત કરી શકાય. અને તે ધરુની પ્રોપર્ટી સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં હોવી જોઈશે. તેથી સિક્યોરીટી સરકાર આપવા રાજી એ માટે પ્રયત્ન ચાલુ છે. બન્નના સુધી સાંજ સુધી થઈ જશે. તમે એ બાબતમાં ચિંતા કરશો નહી. બીજું તમે તમારા ગયા પછી પૂ. ફૂબાને એમનો ના પિકેલ એપ લખ્યું ના. તે સમયસર મળી આવે આપણે કેટલા સમય કેટલો રસ કે રાખે બધાયે તે સમયસર આપવી જોઈએ. તેમજ આપણી તરીકે ગણાય આવી બાબતમાં આપણો વિશ્વાસ ભંગ ન થવા પામે. એને એ શ્રદ્ધા આશીર્વાદનાં મળે પરંતુ ચિંતામાં સેન્ટ્રલ બેંકની ચોપડી

 

જાળવો છે. એમાંના સિવાયને પૂ. ફૂબાને ખબર આપવા ના રહે છે. પરંતુ બેંકનો સરભર ચાંદ બરાબર મળ્યો નથી તે પણ યાદીમાં છે. દરમ્યાન આ બાબતમાં તમારા તરફથી ખુલાસો આવી જાય પછી જ અહીંથી ખાતામાં ત્યાં થાય પરંતુ તમારે ત્યાં આગળ માસિક કેટલું ખર્ચ થાય છે? તે પણ લખશો અને તમારા આવ્યા આગળ પાછળ આ મહિનાની ખર્ચની જે કાંઈ હોય. એણે ત્યાં અને સહી નોંધ્યું એવું તેવું તમને ખર્ચ આપવાના વિગત રહે; સાથે અનુભાઈ ચિ. શૌ વિપુલ જઈએ ચિ. દિનેશ જઈએ. જ્યાતિ અત્યારે મળ્યામાં છે. રાજકોટમાં મોટાભાઈ તથા આ નાનું પત્રમાં છે. મુંબઈથી ચિ. શૌ ચંપાબેન શંકર આવ્યા છે પરંતુ એ. શ્રાદ્ધ ઉતર્યા એટલે બે ચાર દિવસમાં સાજી થવા જોઈશે તે ત્યાંથી જઈ પહેંચ્યા તથા ચિ. અમૃતલાલ તથા ભોગીલાલ મળ્યામાં છે. અને ગોંડલ બહેન મંજુ બહેન પણ મળ્યામાં છે. તમારા અગાઉ આવેલ જન્મેલા બહેનોને વાંચવા મોકલાવી આપ્યા છે. આણંદ તેથી મુંબઈ ચિ. સા. ધનંજય તથા ભા. ગૌતમ પણ મળેલું એમ પત્ર લખતા રહેવું. અને આપણે દર અઠવાડિયે સૌ પત્ર લખવો. તે સાથે રાજકોટ અને મુંબઈના પાછા વળ્યા રહેશું ત્યાં બધે જુદા પત્રો લખવાની જરૂર નથી. તમે જે નિયમન ભાઈ રાખ્યું. તમે ભાડું માસિક કેટલું છે તે જણાવજો. બીજું ચિ. અનુભાઈને તારનાથી ચિ. ભોગીલાલ તોડાવે છે, ત્યાં આગળ લાભ મળી શિક્ષણની ગોઠવણ થઈ હોય છે એક મૂર્તિનો છ બાર મહિનામાં અમે એવા રહેવું પડે પરંતુ આગળ ઉંમર પગાર રૂ. ૨૦૦/૨૫૦ થાય ત્યારે આપણા કુટુંબને પણ પરિતોષ થાય તેમ એ પણ કહીએ ચિ. રમેશ વિપુલ લક્ષ્મીજી એ લાડકોનો દિવાળી ઉપર અનુભાઈને તારના પાંચસો આપવું. દ્વારકા સૌ તમારા મિત્ર મંડળને યાદી એ છે અને ખાસ દ્વારકા સ્વામીજી પણ ચિંતા કરશે નહીં વડોદરાથી આર્શીવાદ સાથે લિ. અનુજના શુભેચ્છા.

Dear Brother Batuk,

Your last letter dated 13/9 was received, acknowledging receipt. The letter written from Anand on 20/9 must have reached you. When a month passes without a letter from your end, everyone naturally gets worried.

We moved from Anand to here on 1/10. During the 10–12 days of eye treatment in Anand, Mother's health deteriorated. Problems like fever, cough, and phlegm increased. She hasn't been able to come out of it yet. After arriving in Anand, your mother's health also worsened. Her legs swell up, and she suffers from a cough, phlegm, and asthma. Climate/atmospheric treatment is ongoing for both. Every year during this month of Bhadarva, such ailments flare up, but as the season changes, they will recover. There is nothing to worry about; these are signs typical of our age.

After going so far away, not receiving regular letters causes mental anxiety—that is just human nature. If all of you brothers can keep in touch, our natural mental worries will automatically disappear. The reason behind my eye trouble without any physical pain is also due to inscrutable mental anxiety. This is the diagnosis of an experienced psychologist regarding internal and external causes. The eye condition remains the same; the operation/cataract has progressed. Once health improves, eye treatment will be shortened. Currently, I have to see through the left eye where the cataract was removed, which causes a lot of difficulty. When sight is impaired, going outside becomes difficult. But what can be done? Whatever fate has written, one has no choice but to bear it.

Remain engrossed in your studies and do not worry about us at all. You must have settled into your field, and your studies must be progressing well. The weather there must have suited you by now. Write to us about what food items you eat, and share the names and details of the companions you have met. Regarding food habits and other matters, strictly adhere to the discipline and boundaries you maintained in person. You have gone very far away, so everyone remains concerned about you—therefore, keep writing letters regularly.

Secondly, there was a delay in settling your approved loan money because a difficulty arose. As per the security bond, Vyaaschandbhai was supposed to sign, but he backed out. I haven't refused to sign, but since he won't sign, someone else needs to be arranged. This is his lawful reasoning; he has complete trust in us, which can be stated. Also, the guarantor's property needs to be located in Saurashtra. Efforts are ongoing to provide the government security bond. It should hopefully be resolved by this evening. Do not worry about this matter.

Secondly, after leaving, you wrote to Respected Fuwa about his pickle/app, which was received on time. We must maintain promptness and respect in such matters on time, so that trust is not broken in these situations. One gets blessings through such faith. Keep an eye on the Central Bank passbook. Except for that, news remains to be given to Respected Fuwa, but the bank balance couldn't be fully reconciled, which is also noted. Meanwhile, after a clarification arrives from your end regarding this, the accounting entries will be made from here. How much are your monthly expenses over there? Please write that down, along with details of any past or present expenses for this month, so we have a record to send you funds.

Anubhai, Sister Vipul, and Brother Dinesh are doing well. Jyoti is currently in Anand. In Rajkot, Big Brother and the younger ones are doing well. Sister Champaben Shankar came from Mumbai, but after the Shraddha period ends, she will recover in a few days and reach there. Brother Amritlal and Bhogilal are doing well. Sister Manjuben in Gondal is also doing fine. Letters received earlier from sisters were forwarded for reading. From Anand to Mumbai, Dhananjay and Brother Gautam are doing fine. Keep writing letters, and we should all write every week. Returns to Rajkot and Mumbai will continue, so there is no need to write separate letters everywhere. Mention what monthly rent you pay according to the rules you maintained.

Secondly, Brother Bhogilal sent a telegram to Brother Anubhai; if educational arrangements offering good prospects are made there, one might have to stay for 6–12 months, but if the future salary reaches Rs. 200/250, it would bring satisfaction to our family. Ramesh, Vipul, and Laxmiji—give 500 to Anubhai via telegram for Diwali. Regards to all your friends in Dwarka, and especially Swamiji in Dwarka—do not worry. With blessings from Vadodara.
