ચિ. ભાઈ બચુ, પોસ્ટ કાર્ડ મળ્યું વિગત જાણી. સૌરાષ્ટ્રના કેળવણી ખાતા તરફથી તા. ૧૫-૬-૫૨ નાં છાપામાં ખાસ સૌરાષ્ટ્રના વતનીઓ માટે સ્કોલરશીપ આપવાની જાહેરાત થઈ છે તે મુજબ ભાઈ નાનુએ તમને ફોર્મ મોકલી આપ્યું હશે. જાહેરખબરની કતરણ આ સાથે બીડી છે. ત્યાં શિક્ષણવૃત્તિ ની રકમ પણ ભાગ્યે બિનો ભાઈ નાનુ ફાડીને લઈ ગયા છે. અહીંયા આનંદ હોઈ એ ફાઈનલ લાગે છે. તમને ભાઈ નટવરલાલ આગળથી ફોર્મ આવી ગયું હશે. નહીંતર મુબંઈ પંગાર મળશે.

પુસ્તકો સૌરાષ્ટ્રના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટેનાં ફંડમાંથી ડીપોઝીટ ભરીને મેળવવું તથા સૌરાષ્ટ્ર સરકારની જાહેરાત મુજબના ફોર્મ ભરી અલબત્ત ત્યાંથી ... શરૂઆતમાં વર્ષના અભ્યાસ પુરેપુરા સુધી આપવામાં આવે છે. તો એના અર્થે અત્રેથી તમારા અભ્યાસક્રમનું આ પહેલું વર્ષે શરૂઆતનું વર્ષ છે એટલે તમારો ક્યાં સુધી તમને સ્કોલરશીપ મળશે અત્રેથી તે ફોર્મ અહીંથી જોઈ, ભરીને મોકલી આપશો અને પત્ર ખબર લખશો. સ્કૂલ ક્યારે પાછું રાબેતા મુજબનું

 

થશે ત્યારે DE ફિ બી.ડી પરથી અને તેનાં ખાતાને મળી લઈશ. પારસીઓ ભાઈ રસીદના પાછા વળ્યા છે. આ પણ આ સ્કોલરશીપ પર અત્રેથી કરી શકે છે. પણ અમે ત્યાં શું કરીએ.

ભાઈ નાનુ, વજુભાઈ ચાંચીયા ગયા છે. બચી . . . ગુજીમાં ગઈ છે મંગુ પણ અહીં આવેલ છે બીજું બધું એમીન લખી તમારી તબિયતની ખબર આપો છે. નવાસરા ના શું સમાચાર તે અને તે પણ રાબેતા પાટા લાઈન લખીને આપશો પત્ર લખતા રહેશો. નવી વ્યવસ્થાનું બિલિંગ બોર્ડિંગ થઈ છે. બાઈ અને ભાઈ કુશળ.

તા.ક. નયન ઘરની ખેતી હોય તેને ખેડુત સ્કોલરશીપ રૂા. ૫૦/- ની મળે છે તેથી લખું તો અછતપોતે રૂપિયા મળેલ હશે. તે તમારે વાંચીને લખવાનું રહ્યું. આ અત્રેથી શીખવાની ચીજ. સ્કોલરશીપ લાવવી નહી તો પ્રશ્ન સળગતું રહે એમ તો તમે જાતે સરસ લખી

Dear Brother Bachu,

Received your postcard and noted the details. An advertisement was published in the newspaper on 15-6-52 by the Education Department of Saurashtra regarding scholarships specifically for residents of Saurashtra. Brother Nanu must have sent you the form according to that. The newspaper clipping is enclosed herewith. Brother Nanu tore off and took the scholarship amount details along. Everything looks fine and final here. You must have received the form from Brother Natwarlal; otherwise, information will be available in Mumbai.

Regarding books: acquire them by paying a deposit from the fund allocated for Saurashtra students. Also, fill out the forms as per the Saurashtra Government advertisement... initially provided up to the full completion of the academic year. Therefore, since this is the first and beginning year of your course, review, complete, and send back the form from here indicating until when you will receive the scholarship, and keep us informed by letter. When the school resumes its regular schedule,

...I will settle the DE fee via Bank Draft (B.D.) and contact their department. The Parsi brothers have returned receipt details. This scholarship can also be applied for from here, but what can we do from there?

Brother Nanu and Vajubhai have gone to Chanchiya. Bachi... has gone to Guji; Mangu has also come here. Everything else is fine; please write and inform us about your health. Share whatever news there is from Navasara as well, writing regular updates. The new boarding/lodging arrangements have been settled. Mother and Brother are doing well.

P.S.: Those who have their own family farming get a Farmer Scholarship of Rs. 50/-; hence, writing this so you might have received the amount yourself. You need to read and write about that. This is something to learn from here. Acquire the scholarship; otherwise, the issue will remain burning, though you can write nicely yourself.
