Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

With regards,

Dear Hemendra-bhai,

It pains my heart deeply to write to you, but what can we do? Respected Mother-in-law (Sasuji), dear young Umaben, left everyone behind and departed. There was a little plaything in the house who brought laughter and joy to all; that dear sister has gone. Crying and wailing continuously... how did such a beloved soul just slip away? Her smiling face and chatty words remain right before our eyes, impossible to forget. Brother, you are alone over there, so we can only pray that God grants peace, comfort, and strength to your heart, mind, and soul. Tears keep welling up again and again, but her face cannot be seen anymore; she will be remembered immensely. What more can I write repeatedly?

— Yours, Bhabhi Jamanla

A telegram was sent to Bhanuben... where all of you over there have to bear this news. Otherwise, she has departed forever. Whether you consider her my beloved daughter-in-law or my cherished dear one, she will never be forgotten; but before God's will, we have no remedy. My dear brother, truly this news will remain deeply in our hearts. (End of letter)
