ઘણો સમયના
પત્ર અને તારીખ ૨૧-૬ પણનો કાગળ
મળ્યો વાંચી દિલગીરી આનંદ થાય છે,
કામ ઘણું હોવાથી પત્ર
લખી શકાયો નહતો, અમારા સમાચાર ત્યાર કરવા જ રૂપાજીની
સાથેના અહીયાં ફ્લાયર્લ(કામ બહુજ છે,)
આઈજ બુધ-૨૭(સોમવાર)
રાયાબ ભાઈ રવિવારે સવારે
મુંબઈ પહોંચી ગયે હશે. રમોનો
સેંડા લાખરૂબ આપેલ હોત, ગુલાબચંદ
અમોને સદ્દગુ દેજો અને જહાહીએ
૧૫૧ સ્ત્રી રમે ધારે સમય
જોઈન અમીચંદ ધામે રમોમાં (ડેલ)
લેવાની રજા મળી. પોઝટ
ઉપર આવત અમોને મુંબઈ
વિલાયત હજી પણ તેમ
કોઈ હોવાથી પણ પત્ર લખી
શકાય, સ્ટીમરમાં હું (૨૬) સગ
આમ ધારે રમે પણ
ગયા મિત્રોને ઇંગ્લેંડમાં હોદ્દીયા મને તહલીહ પડી
હશે સ્ટીમર આખી કે રેડા
૧૨૨૦૧ રી, ભાલમાં અગાઉથી
વધારે હતા તેમાં રહેનારા
લગભગ ૨૫૦ હતા, સ્ટીમર
માં આફીસયે હું જેમ રહ્યો
રહ્યો તે બંધ હતા.
અમોને મુંબઈ જોતી હોઇ પછી
બીજે દીવસે મોજીલ હોવાથી તે ઘના આગળ
બહાર પાડી ગયા પણ
મારી અને આમ પીતાશ્રી
ની તબીયતમાં ફેર પડ ન
હોતો બરોબર અક્ષય દિવસે રસ્તેનો ઘાટો દબાવ લાગવો
સવારી થવા લાગી, અમે
પાસ નહીં રમે ઉતર્યા
બાદ શાંતિ થઈ એક રાત
મુંબઈના ઓંમગાણ રહેવા અને નફુરે ૧૨
રન્ને લીધો બહુરે રહ્યો
વ્યવહાર ધામે પહોચી ગયા,
તેમનો દરેકનો
કાર્ય
કેમે સરુ થા... ધામે
ફુંડાને કામે ભાગ્યો બાદ
આજે રાતના આપના પત્રનો જવાબ
લખવા બેઠો છું.
રૂપાણીને
તેડવા મોટા ભાઈ(ગુલાબભાઈ)
અને મામા જામનગર ગયા
હતા તે પ્રમોદના પત્રમાંથી
જાણવા મળ્યું મળ્યું, કોલેજના પ્રોફેસરો સાથે અને ત્યાંના
વિદ્યાર્થીઓ સાથે આપને ફાવી
ગયું હશે. પ્રવીણચંદને મારા
જય હિંદ કહેશો, જગદીશ
પાસેથી મેં ગુરૂસીઝરનો ફોટો
લઈલીધો છે, તેમને જ્યારે
આપ પત્ર લખો ત્યારે
મારા જયહિંદ લખશો અહિંના નવીન
માં વેપાર સવારથી સાંજ સુધી. સ્ટેમ્પો
બાબત હું આપને Sea mail થી
મોકલાવી આપીસ આપને ટીકુ
પણ મળી ગઈ હશે,

Brother Babubhai [Batuk/Hemendra],
Received your letter sent a long time ago as well as the letter dated 21-6; reading it brought both regret [for the delay] and joy. Due to heavy work, I could not write a letter earlier. To update you on our news, here along with Rupaji... flyer/work is very heavy. Today, Wednesday 27th (Monday), Rayabbhai must have reached Mumbai on Sunday morning. Ramo's... hundred thousand... had been given; Gulabchand... give us good guidance, and Jahahi 151... seeing the time... permission was received to take (Del) in Amichand Dhame Ramo.
Regarding the post, since someone was still going from Mumbai to foreign/England, a letter could be written. On the steamer, I (26)... friends who went to England... must have faced trouble. On the whole steamer... there were about 250 residents, previously more than now. In the steamer, as I stayed, the office was closed. Since we needed Mumbai, on the second day... being pleased, they came out further ahead. But there was no change in my and Father's health; right on the auspicious day, the pressure/discomfort of the sea route began to feel heavy. After we disembarked, there was peace. Stayed one night in Mumbai's... and took Nakuru... reached home/business... everyone's...
...how the work begins... After getting busy with work at home, I am sitting down tonight to reply to your letter.
Learned from Pramod's letter that Elder Brother (Gulabbhai) and Uncle had gone to Jamnagar to receive Rupani. You must have gotten along well with the college professors and the students there. Send my Jai Hind to Pravinchand. I have taken the photo of Gurusizer from Jagdish; whenever you write a letter to him, write my Jai Hind. New updates from here: business from morning till evening. Regarding stamps, I will send them to you via Sea Mail; you must have received Tiku as well.
