પ્રિય હેમેન,

તમને ઘણાં વખત પહેલાં એક પત્ર લખેલ. એ પછી મેં ફેક્ટરીના સરનામે એક પત્ર લખ્યો પણ તારા તરફથી એકેય નો જવાબ નથી તો પત્રો મળ્યા કે નહિ?

તને આપણો બ્લોક મળી ગયો એ બાપુજી ના પત્ર ઉપરથી જાણ્યું. અને એટલે આજે એ સરનામે પત્ર લખું.

અહીં અમે બધા મઝામાં છીએ, કુબેન ને ત્યાં બધા મઝામાં છે. શેઠ સાહેબની તબીયત સારી છે.

રાજકોટથી નાનુનો પત્ર હતો તારા ખબર ક્યાંય નથી મળતા તો હવે એક જ ઠેકાણેથી મેળવવાના રહે છે.

ભારતીનો ફોટો તથા પત્ર બેન ઉપર હતા. તેને હજી મેં પત્ર લખેલ નથી.

જેતપુરથી મંજુનો પત્ર હતો.

 

હવે તો બ્લોક મળી ગયો છે તો લગ્ન ક્યારે કરવાના રાખવાના છો? જો કે આવવાની આશા નથી રાખતા પણ આનંદ તો ખબર જાણીને થઈએ ને. હવે તો બાપુજી ત્યાં કદાચ આપવાના રહશે.

નાનુ માટે કોઈ છોકરો જુવે છે કે નહિ? એનું પણ નક્કી કરી નાખો એટલે એક ઘોડાગાડીનો ખર્ચ થાય.

પત્ર લખજે. અને કદાચ સરનામું ન હોય તો આ વખતે ડાયરીમાં લખી નાખજે. નહીતર અહીંથી એક એડ્રેસ બુક મોકલી આપું.

Dear Hemen,

I wrote a letter to you a long time ago. After that, I wrote another letter to your factory address, but there has been no reply from you to either. Did you receive the letters or not?

Learned from Bapuji’s letter that you got our block/flat. And that is why today I am writing a letter to this address.

All of us here are doing well; everyone at Kuben's place is fine. Sheth Saheb's health is good.

There was a letter from Nanu in Rajkot; since no news of you is found anywhere else, now it remains to be obtained from just one place.

Bharti’s photo and letter were with Sister. I haven’t written a letter to her yet.

There was a letter from Manju from Jetpur.

Now that you have got the block/flat, when do you plan to hold the wedding? Although we don't expect to come, we would certainly feel happy to hear the news. Now Bapuji will perhaps have to give/arrange things there.

Are you looking for a groom/match for Nanu or not? Settle that as well so that the expense of horse-carriage happens only once [both weddings together].

Do write a letter. And if you happen to not have the address, write it down in your diary this time. Otherwise, I will send an address book from here.
