Batukbhai,
We reached Mumbai safely from there. Jyotibhai had come to Dadar. Met Rajnibhai; he remembered you.
In Mumbai, reservations must be made three days in advance, so we departed from there on Tuesday evening. As our luck would have it, we got an old compartment that did not have a single fan! From the next morning, the heat showed its true colors—we were utterly exhausted that day. As if that weren't enough, the lights also went out in the evening. We had dinner in battery light. In the entire train, only two or three compartments at the back had working lights. Since the train was passing through jungles, the lack of lights added to the dark, wild atmosphere outside. Two or three times, the train even had to halt right in the middle of the jungle along the way...
...so we reached here an hour and a half late. Before we arrived here, Chandabahen's house had changed, so we went directly to the new home. I am currently at Jain's house.
Your examinations must be ongoing there. There was a letter from Manjuben from Vadia today; Father might be arriving there. Warm regards to everyone at Bhanubahen's house. Write a reply at leisure.
— Jyoti
Dear Brother Batuk,
Received your letter; delayed writing back due to pure laziness! Your examinations must be over by now. Everyone at Bhanubahen's house must be doing well; convey my regards when you go to Anand. Hope your health is good. You must be heading to Vadia soon—do write a letter. The heat here is unbearable.
— Warm regards from Sister
