હેમેન્દ્રભાઈ, ઘણો લાંબે સમયે
આપને પત્ર લખું છું.
આ પહેલાં એક પત્ર ચાંદોએ
લખેલ પણ તમારો જવાબ
નહતો. હું ધારું છું
ત્યાં સુધી આ પત્ર
નો જવાબ અચૂક આપશોજી.
વિશેષમાં

ના વર્મા જવા રવાના થઈ
ગયા છે. હું આ
વર્ષે અહિંયા ભણવા આવ્યો છું
તેની પણ તમને ભાઈના
પત્ર મારફતે ખબર તો પડી
હશે. બધું English માં છે એટલે
ભય મોટો છે. નાનુભાઈ
અહિં બેંગલોર જવા માટે આવેલ
ત્યારે મળ્યા હતા અને સાથે
ફર્યા હતા. ત્યાર પછી
મળ્યા નથી.
હવે
તમારે કેટલાં વર્ષ બાકી રહ્યા
અને આ તરફ ક્યારે
આવવાનો વિચાર છે તે પણ
જણાવશો કે પછી ત્યાંજ
ઘર માંડવું છે.
વિશેષમાં
ત્યાંથી મારા માટે થવા
જેવું હોય તે જણાવશો.
commerce વિષે થવા જેવા કોઈ
મેગેજીન હોય તો પણ
જણાવશો.
મારું
Terminal નું result સારું નથી. Inter નું વર્ષ છે,
મહેનત કરું છું. ભાઈના
ખુશીખબરના પત્રો આપતાં રહેજો.
તમે
હાલમાં જ્યાં છો તે city છે
કે ડેમ? યુનીવર્સીટીમાં કેટલા
વિદ્યાર્થીઓ હશે? standard of living કેવું છે? જમવા માટે
કોઈ club system છે કે નહી
જાતે મહેનત! તમે service માટે ગયા હતા
તો પછી હવે શું
થયું. Temporary ગયા હશો. આ
વધુ જાણવા માટે જરૂર જણાવશો.
વળતાં
તો હું ધારું છું
કે world tour કરીનેજ આવશો. આપણે બન્ને સાથે
જવાનો વિચાર કરતાં હતાં. તે પહેલાં તમે
જઈ આવ્યા.
બાબુભાઈ
(અનુપ) ભાનુબેનનાં લગ્ન થઈ ગયાનાં
સમાચાર મળ્યાં હશે. તેમને marriage પણ
થઈ ગયા છે. તે
તમને યાદ કરતાં હતાં.
રમણભાઈ મજામાં છે. યાદ કરતાં
હતાં. મારી exam ભણવાની માર્ચના છેલ્લાં અઠવાડિયામાં થશે.

સરનામું નીચે છે. પત્ર
લખવાની કોશિષ કરશોને કે મને પણ
ભૂલી ગયા.

જરૂર લખશો. ફરી કહેવું નહિ
પડેને! ભાઈનો પત્ર હતો કે
તું પટ્ટુને પત્ર કેમ નથી
લખતો! બહુ જ ફરીયાદ
કરતો હતો. હવે મારે
ફરીયાદ કરવા જેવું ન

Dear Hemendrabhai,
I am writing a letter to you after a very long time. Before this, Chando had written a letter, but there was no reply from you. I assume that you will definitely reply to this letter.
In addition, respected Kaka and aunt Anila left for Burma on 15/11. You must have also learned through Brother's letter that I have come here to study this year. Everything is in English, so there is a big fear/challenge. When Nanubhai came here on his way to Bangalore, we met and went out together. Haven't met him since then.
Now, how many years do you have left, and when do you plan to come back to this side, or do you intend to settle down and set up a home there itself?
Furthermore, do let me know if there is anything that can be done for me from there. Also inform me if there are any useful magazines related to Commerce.
My terminal exam result is not good. It is the Inter year; I am working hard. Keep sending letters with good news about Brother.
Is the place where you are currently a city or a dam area? How many students are there in the university? How is the standard of living? Is there any club system for meals or is it self-service/cooking? You had gone for a job/service, so what happened with that? You must have gone temporarily. Please do share details to know more.
On your return, I assume you will come back only after doing a world tour. We both were planning to go together, but you ended up going before me.
You must have received news that Babubhai (Anup) and Bhanubahen's marriage has taken place. Their marriage is done now. They were remembering you. Ramanbhai is doing well and sends his regards. My study exam will be held in the last week of March.
My address is given below. Will you make an effort to write a letter, or have you forgotten me too?
Do write a letter for sure. Hope I won't have to say it again! Brother had written in his letter: "Why don't you write a letter to Pattu?" He was complaining a lot. Now let it not be my turn to complain.
