પ્રિય જદુભાઈ, આપનો પત્ર મળ્યો. વાંચી આનંદ.

આજને લીધે પત્ર લખતાં ઢીલ થઈ છે. તમારી તબિયત નરમ થઈ ગઈ હતી તો હવે સારું હશે. X-mas Vacation વિષે તમે લખેલ વર્ણન વાંચીને ઘણો જ આનંદ થયો છે.

તમે લખો છો કે ત્યાં ઓવીસે ઉલાફ જલસા છે જો ફુરસદ હોય તો. અમે બધા નવરા માણસો છીએ અમને ત્યાં તેડાવો તો અમે તો જલસા કરીએ. અહી સર્વ મજામાં છે. પૂ. કાકાએ તથા પૂ. બાએ તમને યાદી લખાવી છે.

વડિયાથી પૂ. બાપુનો તથા બેબીજેન થોડા દિવસ પહેલાં પત્ર હતો. ત્યાં પણ વડિયાથી પત્ર આવતા હશે. નીતીન મજામાં છે. તેનો ફોટો બીજા પત્રમાં જરૂર મોકલશું. ફુરસદે ત્યાંનાં નવીન જરૂર જણાવશો. લી.: આપની ભાભીનાં સ્મરણ...

પ્રિય ભાઈ જદુ,

ગત તારો તા. ૩/૧/૫૬ નો લખેલ પત્ર આજે મળી આવવામાં મથામણ કરી છે. તારું પરિણામ પુરું થઈ ગયું હશે અને સાય વગેરેમાં જરા ફુરસદ પણ મળી ગઈ રહેશે. ખબર લખજે.

વડિયાથી તમને સમાચાર હશે જ. ભાઈ નાનુંનો Power of Attorney રવાના થયેલ છે. અને બધા જીવે છે કે તો પણ ટાઈપ કરીને મોકલાવ્યું આપેલ છે, તો તે મળી ગયું હશે.

ના હવે પરિણામની ધામમાં જે ફુરસદ હશે ને, ત્યાં First Class માં સજ્જ થઈ સ્ટેમ્પ લગાડીને પાવર મોકલાવ આભાર.

ત્યાં તારી તબિયત સારી હશે. અમે બધા કુશળ છીએ. મકાન સાધારણ ચાલે છે ને રૂપે.

Dear Jadhubhai,

Received your letter; glad to read it.

There was a delay in writing back due to today's work. Your health had been unwell, so hope you are feeling better now. Reading the description you wrote about the Christmas vacation brought much joy.

You write that there are constant celebrations and gatherings there if one has leisure time. We are all idle people here; if you invite us there, we would enjoy the festivities too! Everyone is doing well here. Respected Uncle (Kaka) and respected Ba have sent you their warm regards.

A few days ago, there was a letter from respected Bapu in Vadia as well as from Baby-bahen. Letters from Vadia must be reaching you there as well. Nitin is doing well. We will definitely send his photograph in another letter. Do share news from there whenever you find leisure.

Dear Brother Jadhu,

Received your letter dated 3/1/56 today after some effort. Your exams/results must be over by now, and you must have found some leisure from studies (science/side) etc. Do write your updates.

You must already have news from Vadia. Brother Nanu's Power of Attorney has been dispatched. Everyone is looking into it, and it has been typed and sent, so it must have reached you.

Now, during the leisure after exams/results, please get it properly executed in First Class, affix the necessary stamp, and return the Power of Attorney. Thank you.

Hope your health is good there. We are all doing well here. The building work/house affairs are moving along normally... Do not worry.
